My first time at this particular Sal’s. This location has Pizza Slices, Calzones, etc. already made and they “warm up” your food when ordered. The slice I got didn’t taste good. Not only was it not real hot the ingredients didn’t taste good. You seat yourself before 3 pm and get your own drink. It was nearly $12 for a slice and drink. I’ve honestly had better Pizza at Little Caesars. I will be sticking with the Plainfield Sal’s location which is much better.

Went to Sal’s for lunch. Decent food, wait staff was okay, took a while for my drinks and a server to come to the table. The spaghetti and meatballs were a little bland not enough Italian spice in the sauce. Also salads do not come with the meals those are extra.

Always love going to Sal’s. I am not a big Italian food person. But this is my go-to when I want some. Their food is great! It is a cozy atmosphere. Pizza is good! If you are a pasta loving Sal’s is a definite much try.

We visited in November 2025. This is my first and last time here. The waitress was lovely, the additional service was terrible. The manager here was the most unprofessional “manager” I have ever witnessed. As a bystander I watched her rip a receipt out of a customers hand trying to settle a dispute and scream at customers throwing a birthday party while also threatening guests. Everyone else appeared to handle the situation great but the managers entire attitude and demeanor was horrible. At no moment was she kind or welcoming. I would give her personally no stars if I could. New management suggested.

Waitress barely checked on us. She overcharged us an extra salad and pasta fagioli. She wouldn’t credit our credit card for her error. Only gave us cannolis. No thanks! Not even that good. We won’t be eating in her section again.

Akyra was an incredible server. She recommended marinara to be subbed with Alfredo for my chicken Parmesan, and that was a good choice. Good food, lovely atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful Italian restaurant, with numerous freshly prepared dishes of all varieties.
The restaurant atmosphere & dining experience is of a 5-Star caliber rating, but yet the pricing is quite reasonable, for quality & service experience which is offered!
The Restaurant also features an extensive wine collection to boot.
I will definitely return!

The interior improvements on Sal’s have made a big difference. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and inviting. Our server, Akyra, was exceptionally friendly and efficient. The food was hot and delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting Italian food!

A nice restaurant tucked in the middle of a strip mall. Don’t let the strip mall look steer you away from this little cozy restaurant. The food is excellent and still reasonably priced. Portions are not excessive and “right sized”. The restaurant offers a variety of wines and other alcoholic drinks. The menu is large enough that anyone can find something to eat. The pizza is amazing….especially the wood fired option. Speaking of wood fire, when you enter the restaurant…the smell of the wood fire helps relax you and prepare you for a great meal. The staff is friendly. Jo, our server, was friendly, smiling, and helpful.

I went to Sal’s on the recommendation that they had authentic Italian pizza. Instead, it was a classic NY style pizza rather than authentic Italian. I got a slice of the pepperoni and sausage. Now when i say a slice, i mean a SLICE. It was enormous and would be enough to satisfy most hungry patrons. It was a bit greasy but that was from the amount of meat they generously topped it with and those toppings were delicious. The crust was rather bland so that was a bit disappointing. I also got a Stromboli which was pretty good.
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was really welcoming. There were pictures of Sal and his family on most of the walls which made it feel like he was welcoming you to be a part of his family.
