Stopped at Avenue Eats for the first time at their new location in Waterfront Hall. I had the diner burger and fries. Both were the deliciousness that they have always been. I love their new location. The new location in Waterfront Hall makes me feel like I’m not in Wheeling anymore because I have been in similar places far away from Wheeling. I definity recommend Avenue Eats and Waterfront Hall!

Cashier suggested burger, when we we’re between 2. And there’s a sign when you enter warning you food takes a while, but it’s worth it. We had pountine fries , pretzels and Gouda burgers.

This was our first visit. I googled good places to eat in Wheeling, because we aren’t too familiar with the area. The inside was small, but they use the space well. There is also outdoor seating for days when it is nice out. We tried the fries with gravy, and my husband and I both enjoyed them. I had the breakfast burger. It comes with a maple aioli. Sort of like a maple mayo. The burger was outstanding! This was out of my comfort zone. U would normally have them hold the aioli. She put it on the side for me, so I could try it before committing to have it on my entire burger. It almost tasted like a burger and french toast at the same time! We also took three of their gourmet cupcakes with us! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a chance to stop by. Cute atmosphere and friendly servers, too.

MUST-HAVE. BEST BURGERS. GREAT ATMOSPHERE. NEW LOCATION. Avenue Eats is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants and I have yet to eat a burger that tastes better than theirs (and I have tried to find a better one!). They have more than just burgers, and I am never disappointed after eating here regularly for the past 8 years. This is a local favorite and award-winning place for good reason. Staff is super friendly; locally-owned and operated by the best folks around. The new location in the newly-renovated Victorian building, Waterfront Hall, is SO cool and one of the best things in Wheeling. AE is a must-have: I could not recommend this place and its food more! You will not be disappointed!

OLD LOCATION: My dad and I have been coming here since the place opened and it’s been a great experience just about every time. I’m a vegetarian so I really appreciate it when I can go to a place and know that there’s going to be something good that I can eat. Portobello mushroom sandwich with Tempeh is divine. Dad raves about their burgers. They have the best fries in the Tri-County area. The soft lighting and classic decor make for a lovely atmosphere.
