Risata Cucina Brings Modern Italian with an Old Soul to Robbinsdale
Reviews
Risata is a perfect addition to the amazing collection of neighborhood restaurants in Robbinsdale and we can wait to add it to our regular rotation!
I was delighted to eat here this week and wow! was I impressed. A perfectly restrained menu to focus on quality ingredients and taste profiles. Curated. Thoughtful. Creative. Generous. And of course delicious. Every course has something to truly delight your taste buds. I recommend the mortadella skewers, the bolognese and the swordfish. The on-tap Negroni is spot-on and the Amaro selection is worth a fun exploration. Make haste and get your reservations set. This place is gonna be packed!
The restaurant is warm and inviting, it’s not as dark or loud as other popular Italian restaurants in the cities.
The service was attentive and pleasant, Todd, our server was great and knowledgeable about the menu!
We had three appetizers, the beef tartare, arancini, and mortadella. They were all excellent, the mortadella is such a special dish in the Twin Cities! It’s what my Italian American heart has been missing!
We ordered the fusilli pasta with beef cheek as our entree. The portion was hearty! We got gluten free pasta and it was truly excellent. It was hot, perfectly spicy, the pasta was excellent! I almost didn’t believe it was gluten free.
The cocktails and wine were also great.
Highly recommend this new gem in Robbinsdale!!
Food wise it’s very much the same, classic names but extremely well curated examples of them, we had the Gnocchi and the Fusili with beef cheek. I hardly ever order Gnocchi out but I really loved it. Beef tartare was also excellent.
Put this place on your calendar and come soon, I have a feeling it might get packed as word gets out. Broders finally has a little competition.
