The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — the kind of Mexican food that reminds you what it’s supposed to taste like. Every plate comes out hot, well-portioned, and made with care.

Best Caldo this side of the border. If you like soup with a kick (spicy) then the Caldo Tlapeño is incredible.
I drive from The Woodlands just to eat here.

A hidden gem, well frequented by the ones in the “know”. Great food, clean premises and very friendly service. Also caters to non-carnivores. Not the best of pictures, but the bacon wrapped shrimp is amazing.

From their amazing birria tacos to the crawfish with their signature dip sauce (seriously, it’s addictive), every bite hits the spot.
We stopped in for Mother’s Day weekend and couldn’t have picked a better place. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the service was great (family sisters run/own) , and $4 mimosas kept the celebration poping!

Read the reviews and decided to make a reservation for 10 at noon on Sunday for a birthday celebration. Elena was our waitress and she was fabulous! She was kind, friendly, and made sure everyone was taken care of. The restaurant is somewhat small, clean, and smells great. The chips and warm salsa and green sauce were perfect! I really like a warm salsa and the Chile con Queso tasted great. If you like a good Mole sauce this is the place!! Hands down this was a great find and I recommend this to anyone coming in from out of town. We will be back. All the dishes were really good. Oh and my dad was given a slice of cheese cake for his birthday. Thank you!

My family and I were very disappointed in Rana`s Mexican Grill. I ordered the Fajitas Tequila the portion was small all topping and beef very fatty. My Daughters Quesadillas were just Ok and my Wifes soup was good, the Margaritas were good. If you notice in the drink picture the beer is in a Margarita Glass that’s because the beer mug, they brought to the table was dirty and they didn’t have another, so they brought me a Margarita glass. The pictures look good in presentation, but not a good representation of the quality of their food so don’t let that fool you. The service is slow so don’t expect a lot there, I wouldn’t recommend Rana`s and for the price you can find better Mexican Food in Conroe.

Before I ate here, I looked through the pictures and didn’t see a picture of the salsa. So, I took one just to post. The salsa was warm and very good. No “tomato can” taste at all.
Edit: I also went to Rana’s the next day as I wanted to try the nachos. I am a fan! Picture as well.
I had the fajitas (no picture) since this was my first time here, and they were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of onions.
The charro beans were good as well.
I asked for a spicy salsa, and they gave me a bottle of green salsa that was tasty!

Watermelon margarita was yummy and relaxing! The chimichanga was crispy on the outside and the beef was soft on the inside. It tasted so good with the gravy and queso. Loved that The salsa and charro beans were served piping hot. It was very busy but the waitress was very attentive. She made sure that we had everything we needed. I rate this dinner a 10 out of 10 that’s including the drink.
