I just landed at LGA at 11:30 PM and by the time I checked into my hotel near Times Square at midnight, I was freezing and starving. Everything was closed, and I felt hopeless until I found this food cart on DoorDash. (I was so surprised and relieved to find local food cart biz on DoorDash because I assumed they were “cash only.”) I ordered the Lamb Biryani and a Chicken & Lamb combo platter.

Walking there in the biting NYC wind was tough, but seeing the owner working hard in his small booth at 12:30 AM was truly humbling. He was so kind and told me he works the night shift until 5 AM.

The portions were HUGE—maybe because it was late, or maybe he’s just that generous. The food was steaming hot, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to survive the night. To the hardworking brother running the cart: thank you for the warmth and the amazing meal. You made my first night in NYC unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Do not hesitate to eat here. Everyone loved it. I really recommend adding the spicy sauce to your lamb/falafel sandwich. Get extra napkins.

Updated 10/6/25 got the chicken over salad this time and was quite disappointed with the portion size. It’s essentially the same small amount of lettuce that goes on a rice platter instead of getting more of it. Will stick with the rice platters if I order from here again.

Great lamb biryani! They make it with lamb meat chunks, not ground lamb or gyro meat, and they don’t skimp either. For $12, you can’t beat it. Friendly guy working the cart too. Ordered pickup on uber eats. Awesome flavor and generous portion. This is like at least 2 meals. Thank you!

Excellent food and great service.

On my first visit, I ordered a lamb kati roll ($6) and it was ready in about five minutes. In that time, I read all the newspaper images on the cart, so I was expecting something amazing — and that’s what I got.

The roll had seasoned, succulent, tender lamb and fresh vegetables in roti. The wrap was so full that it didn’t stay closed, so I ended up eating it all with a fork. It was so good that I went back a few days later and got a lamb rice platter ($12).

I was surprised the vendor remembered me because we didn’t speak much on my first visit. Even though it was 3 a.m., he got me chatting. Between the friendliness and the food, I’m sure this place has lots of return customers.

Anyway, the food — wonderful smells erupted when I opened the box. The meat was grilled but stayed tender and juicy. The sauce coated the vegetables but it was easy to mix it into the rice and lamb. It was phenomenal. This cart is great for lunch or dinner or to satisfy a late-night/early-morning craving.

This halal cart serves delicious food! I tried their combo kati roll and over rice. The meat was fresh, tender, and juicy. The cart was clean and well-prepared. If you’re a halal cart food lover, you’ll notice something different about this cart’s food. The meat is prepared differently, and the sauce is different, but both are delicious. Highly recommended! Give it a try.

This was my first time in New York, and I was excited to try the many places the city has to offer.
Out of all the spots we visited during our five-night stay—including everything from hole-in-the-wall gems to high-end restaurants—this was my favorite meal.

The owner made me a lamb pita, and although I’m usually not a fan of lamb, I have to say this was the best I’ve had in a long time. The pita was packed with flavor.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind to us. I’m so glad I was able to get a picture with him. I know that when I return to New York, this will definitely be a must-visit spot for me.

Wow!!! I can’t wait to come back!! I got the lamb Kati roll. I heard this place has real authentic lamb and I was surprised to see the guy slab some fresh raw meat on the grill and cook it fresh for me after I ordered!! Usually the street carts have a ton of pre cooked meat waiting for customers. I was so impressed just by that but also the taste of the Kati roll was heavenly!! So good!! But next time I’m going to find a place to sit down and eat. It’s so hard to eat on the go! Very messy but he provided enough napkins so that’s good. Enjoy!

Great alternative to Adel’s and definitely better than the Halal Guys. Both the guys in front of me and behind seem to be regulars so I guess the food here is quite popular. Order the lamb over rice and the portions are generously. The guy preparing the food is always friendly and happy and checks with you on how much sauce you want and if you like it spicy. Would definitely be back again.
