Food very hot which I appreciated and the staff was pleasant. But the flavor and smell of the food was not. The restaurant also didn’t smell good inside. I was not able to eat more than two bites. Egg roll had no flavor at all and the wontons were old. Very disappointing and upsetting that I wasted money and gas going this far.

The food was decent, but I feel l8ke they weren’t honest with their prices in the menu. Most Chinese food restaurants include the fried rice in the cost of the meal. We were charged almost $3.00 more. We were also charged for a large portion. The waitress(owner) didn’t ask what size we wanted. It was also presented in the menu that each entree was a meal that came with either 2 crab ragoon or 1 egg roll, we were charged for the egg rolls we got. $1.75 each, they should have been part of thr meal! It was also almost $2.00 for a can of pop or water and $3.00 for a bottle of pop. I feel like I was mislead and ripped off. I will not be returning to Yen Ching!!

This is our favorite place to get take out Chinese. The owners are amazing and so kind. They take the time to get to know you, all I have to do now is call and she knows my numbers and order! The food is incredible as well, best in CR/Marion area. I HIGHLY recommend Yen Ching.

Have had takeout several times now. Consistently excellent food, candidate for the best Chinese in town. Good prices, good serving size, good variety. Many fresh ingredients and super friendly staff.
Hopefully they can add their own delivery soon. I refuse to use door dash et al. thankfully it’s just a 5 minute drive from home and absolutely worth it.
As of Feb 2024 there is no regular dine-in, but I doubt they would mind if you sat down to eat as they keep clean tables and chairs set up.

Just finished a satisfying meal from Yen Ching. The food arrived before their promised time, piping hot. I had to allow it to cool before I could eat. I appreciated the generous portions of Sizzling Rice Soup, Chicken Egg Rolls, and Ming’s Beef. The soup and beef were perfectly seasoned, and the rice wasn’t sticky. The egg rolls were solid and crispy, not soggy. Yes, the price may seem daunting, but you’re getting your money’s worth from this restaurant. I’ll be ordering again, but first I have to finish the leftovers!

Okay so we don’t get food often but went out on a whim because I am struggling from my health as many of you know.
We got Yen Ching they’re a little cute family business off mt Vernon Rd.
I am a frequent visitor for their dumplings and Tucker loves their spring rolls (both in the portraits). We went in to pay for our family meal and she inquired about my health.
Then she tells me to go wait in my van so she can bring it out and says please go and heal since I had mentioned my surgery.
I already knew they were my favorite place in the entire world but this just solidified it and they are in a strip mall that has gotten smaller and smaller over time.
Please share them and go to them. They are amazing!

I ordered shrimp fried rice through Door Dash while I was at work; the rice is very flavorful even though it doesn’t have much color. I was happy that there weren’t too many peas and there was plenty of egg. I was worried at first that there wouldn’t be enough shrimp spread throughout when I saw so many shrimps on top, but Yen Ching was actually very generous with the shrimp!! Delicious meal and plenty leftover for lunch the next day as well

Ordered General Tso and it tasted like old fish smells. The only thing worse than the entrée was the egg rolls which must have been spoiled before they cooked them. Don’t waste your money.

I love this place! I’ve been ordering from Yen Ching for years and every time I order its to die for! I suggest the veggie spring rolls with soy sauce AND sweet & sour. As well as the crab rangoons. The seafood delight is my favorite entree 🙂 Feels like family every time they are always super kind and remember your name!
