It was better than what I was expecting.
I got the General Tso chicken dinner combo.
The cream cheese wonton and hot and sour soup was pretty under average.
The chicken was good. The sauce was actually spicy from the chili oil they used.

Great Chinese restaurant! We got seated right away and our food came out in under 5 minutes. Huge portions! Not a lot of gluten-free options though – I don’t recommend to someone with a gluten intolerance/allergy.

I’ve come here a couple times and I thought the food was decent. I ordered some take out last night and I realized there was an insect in my soup. I was appalled and immediately threw it away. I was hesitant to even finish my other food because of this. I’m concerned about the kitchen environment and I will not be coming back here.

We had lo mein, general Tso (2 orders), salt and pepper spare ribs, Kung Pao chicken, shrimps, Xiao long bao and pork wonton in spicy chili sauce. The general Tso was good enough to get a second order. Total came to $119. Portions are not as big as some other places but the quality was really good and the dishes freshly prepared. The service was efficient and the waiters were really nice. I would have given it 5 stars but the place was a little old and the blinds next to me could have used some cleaning. Overall good enough to go back. The bathrooms were impeccable compared to other Chinese restaurants.

We enjoy visiting Salt City Chinatown and then seeing a movie at the nearby Cinemark. This was our first time at Chinese Taste, and we will definitely be back. Service was very friendly and fast. I was excited to try the dry pot rabbit, and it didn’t disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the sensation of the numbing sauce. My husband enjoyed having the sesame chicken he’s more used to.

We visit the Chinese Market often and this was our first time getting dinner at Chinese Taste, and we were very impressed with the flavors and service!
We loved the Orange Chicken, General Tso Chicken, Ham fried Rice, and Singapore Shrimp Rice Noodles the most! We will be visiting again soon!

Fantastic portions (HUGE) the food was amazing and quick to come out! Highly recommend dining in. Everything was amazing. When we’re back in SLC we will definitely come again. Braised beef lo mein and spicy beef noodles were absolutely fantastic. Broth was simple and full of warm flavors! Delicious. Meals come with small bowls of rice as well. Great place for a date night or even spend time with friends and family!

We recently tried a variety of dishes, including the Sesame Chicken, Beef with Curry, and BBQ Pork Buns, and we were not disappointed! Each dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Sesame Chicken had just the right balance of sweetness and crunch, while the Beef with Curry was rich and savory, with tender beef that melted in your mouth. The BBQ Pork Buns were a standout too soft, fluffy, and filled with juicy, flavorful pork. Everything was incredibly satisfying, and we left completely satisfied. Highly recommend trying these dishes if you’re looking for something delicious and full of flavor!
