Just had a great rest stop on our way home at the Amherst Corner. We had the Special Chicken and Dumplings and the Amherst Cowboy Burger with a side of Beans, both were OUTSTANDING. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Amherst Corner restaurant.

Such a great find! Good Eats! I had a hard time making up my mind with so many tempting menu options. Pricing was affordable as well. I was traveling and doing take out (which was served up within 5 minutes!) so I went with the Jumbo Beef Hotdog and a Rootbeer Float. Yum! The staff was so friendly!!! Great diner food. We had a great double cheeseburger and chicken tenders, but other good options. Not sure, but seemed to be a very nice Amish family owning the restaurant. Fyi, take Hwy 151 &/or Hwy 56 for short drive to Blue Ridge Parkway .. curvy, but fun and beautiful.

This Strawberry Salad has rendered me full and quite speechless. This is our second time stopping here (we’re live 5h away) and have only good things to say. This is where we stop every year we go asking and always look forward to a yummy lunch! I love the cowboy beans and pretty much anything on the menu will hit the spot, from soup to a cod filets. It is a must stop and if you have room, get a milkshake!
