Hands down the worst (Asian) restaurant I’ve ever been to in NC. The food is bland at best and the portions for the price are a joke. I couldn’t even get through half of this sad meal before throwing it away. Just because you serve (Warm) sushi doesn’t make this Japanese. Terrible food!

Tokyo Express is a highlight of my time in college. It was my favorite restaurant. The food is excellent and reminds me of a high end hibachi restaurant but at a deal. Hibachi chicken and fried rice with mushrooms is my favorite and is only $9.25 and the portion size is large.

I can’t explain the hold this place has on me. Is it nostalgia? I’m not sure but I really enjoy the teriyaki chicken. The portion sizes are good enough for me. The food is tasty. They do get busy at times but that doesn’t bother me too terribly much.

This used to be my favorite place for take out a year ago. However I stopped eating out and haven’t had any Tokyo express in over a year. I stopped by tonight on my way home excited to have some hibachi chicken. When I got home I was extremely disappointed to see the portion size and how much I had paid for my food. Extremely extremely disappointed in the portion sizing, quality of food, and the price. This place used to be really good. Food was great and you were getting your moneys worth. Tonight I received a kids meal portion of food. Very disappointed Tokyo express.

I’m a frequent customer that post pictures on google map. Under D Manning ever since I’ve been coming here I had no problems. The last two times the portion of meat was less and the food wasn’t hot all the way threw. I took my plate to the register and gave it to the black boy with dreads and he gave it to the Asian lady. She put the food that I was already eating off of back on the grill and added teriyaki sauce. Then gave me the plate back. 02/28/18 3:45pm NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE THAT WAS GROSS.

Got a roach in my meal. I ordered two things of food. I brought back the meal with the roach in it as proof but we just threw the other meal in the garbage because they shared the same ingredients and who knows where the roach came from. The manager argued with me that they could only refund the one meal I brought back. 10/10 customer service. 10/10 roach infested food. would never go back.
