Ended up here out of slight desperation due to a craving for a poke bowl, because my usual spot in Auburn was closed. I walked in and the place was empty (my first clue), but proceeded to order against my better judgement. A few of the topping options were empty or missing from the bar, and the topping options seemed very low budget quality (second clue). Some of the protein options were empty trays and should have either been replenished or the tray removed, because it looked gross to have scraped trays just sitting there (third clue). I ended up paying extra for a protein I didn’t want just to fill the bowl. The sauce topping was disgusting and a massive disappointment – it made me not want to have spicy mayo ever again. The salmon and tuna chunks had stringy pieces attached – not sure why they weren’t properly prepared. I did have thoughts of just taking the $20 loss and throwing the bowl away, but I was hungry and just prayed I didn’t get food poisoning afterwards. I wish I would have gone with my repeated instinct to leave immediately upon noticing the clues. Needless to say, I’ll never be back. Save yourself the trouble and get a bowl from Nick The Greek across the parking lot instead – I wish I would have!!

I don’t usually do food reviews but felt like this one needed one, for one the restaurant was extremely warm inside for a poke bowl place with raw fish that just doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve been a server and know some food safety precautions I was about to walk out but then was greeted so figured I would give it a try. The lack of options was highly disappointing, the service wasn’t terrible but could be better. I honestly thought about throwing my food away, but it was honestly very disappointing and very sketchy. I am just hoping I don’t get sick.

Just found POKE TOWN in Nugget Plaza in Roseville. They serve poke style food. The place was super clean and the staff were so friendly and not very expensive either. An excellent choice for healthy food in a hurry.

The storefront is awfully warm for place that’s expected to have fresh fish.

The protein choices were minimal and not all that fresh-looking behind the case. The rice was mushy and lumpy.

There was one employee working in the front. He wasn’t very personable, and seemed annoyed when I asked him about the sauces.

Will not return.

I ordered through Grub Hub and was given a bowl FULL of rice at LEAST 24 to 48 hrs old. Its was hard as rocks and transparent from being left out over night or longer. It was like chewing on gravel. I called and asked why they would send days old rice, to which they question if it was all the rice? The fish looked slimy and old. Will not order from this location again.

I am a regular customer of this place, usually is excellent, but today in the afternoon the service was absolutely bad, we were treated with a lot of rush when we were the only two people in the place and the worst experience with half of spoons of protein selection, the food is very good but today very poorly served.

Picture is not even complete container with supposed three proteins, with this attention won’t ever come back.

Half the ingredients tasted spoiled, I’m putting this nicely, but yeah it was awful.

Hoping I don’t get sick now.

Visited on 12/28/2020. Albacore was past it’s prime, rest (tuna) was fine but didn’t order the salmon as it didn’t look right. Salmon in our region is usually a slam dump for quality. Portion for a regular is less than other poke places I’ve been too.

Disappointed in the lack of options. The fish as well as other things definitely looked questionable as far as freshness. I wish the gal, who was sweet by the way, didn’t play with her hair over the bar as she served my food either. Don’t plan on returning.

Walking in through the door, I was hit with a wave of some nasty smell like rotting fish. I order anyways because I’m hungry. The toppings bar is depressing as hell. Barely any options and everything looked like it’s been sitting there for a few days. The meat looked very questionable, so I didn’t bother. All around not great vibes, but I’m not sick (yet) so I guess it’s not the worst?
