This is a place where you can enjoy a homemade feeling of ethnic south Indian food in Seattle. We go there all the time for dinner buffet. They have both lunch and dinner buffets. As a vegetarian, they have a lot of options; my favorite is paneer saag and the homemade chutney on the side is yummy. I’m a big fan of their chai and appetizers. They have non-veg varieties, including fish. The old couple who run the restaurant are super kind. We saw a family with a kid ask for butter (ghee) for their kid to eat plain rice, and they were so generous they got a whole bowl of it. They always welcome everyone with smile.

Only one thing I don’t like about this place is their washroom. Washroom is like a storeroom, filled with chairs and looks dirty.

We had some of the best vegetarian food at Amulya! We’ve visited multiple times, and every single experience has been consistently excellent. The variety on the menu is impressive, and the flavors never disappoint. As someone who enjoys spicy food, I especially appreciate the perfect balance of taste and spices they bring to every dish. They also offer a buffet at a very reasonable price, which makes it an even better value for the quality and selection they provide. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious and satisfying vegetarian options!

This is my go-to Indian restaurant for a reason. The food is authentic, rich in flavor, and consistently delicious. Portion sizes are generous, so you always leave satisfied. Their buffet is the best in Washington, with an incredible variety and freshness you rarely find elsewhere.
Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates real Indian cuisine!

Amulya Indian Kitchen is more of a homestyle Indian restaurant in Bellevue. I’ve been here twice so far, both times for their buffet, and the food has been impressive. The buffet offers a huge variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian dishes, plus a few Indo-Chinese items. I especially liked that they sometimes include snacks like Mysore Bonda or Punugulu, which you don’t often find elsewhere. The food tastes very homemade, not overly oily or heavy with masala, which makes it comforting while still flavorful. Pricing is also very reasonable for the variety and quality you get.

That said, the restaurant feels very casual and could improve in a few areas. The same people who cook in the kitchen often handle the cashier and occasionally take breaks in the dining area, which makes them less present for customers.
The space can also feel a bit unhygienic and noisy at times, with kitchen conversations carrying into the dining area. It’s not a polished or fancy spot, but if you’re simply looking for a wide variety of homestyle Indian food at good value, it’s worth a try.

One of the most tastiest food, i found in Seattle area. 555 Biryani and all the starters are perfect. Staff and host is very polite and friendly. You get so many veg and non veg options in buffet.

A hidden gem on the outskirts of Bellevue, this spot offers flavorful South Indian–style cuisine with a broad and satisfying menu.

Dishes tried: Spicy Chicken Fry, Pepper Chicken, Punugulu, Chilli Baby Corn, Methi Chaman, Mughlai Chicken, Onion Dosa, Paneer 65 Biryani, and Bezawada Biryani.

Verdict:
• The Pepper Chicken was a standout—perfectly crisp with just the right amount of spice.
• The Spicy Chicken Fry had a distinct minty flavor, which may not appeal to everyone.
• Punugulu was the surprise highlight—crispy, airy, and absolutely delicious. A must-try.
• Chilli Baby Corn was satisfyingly crispy, though a bit heavy on spice.
• The Mughlai Chicken Curry, with its rich, cashew-based gravy, was indulgent and well-executed.
• Methi Chaman was another hit—creamy, flavorful, and a great vegetarian option.
• The Onion Dosa was decent, but the sambar accompanying it was particularly good.
• Paneer 65 Biryani was average—flavorful but lacking that extra edge.
• Bezawada Chicken Biryani was underwhelming and could be skipped.

Service was prompt and the staff accommodating, cheerfully managing our many requests. The ambience is basic and no-frills, but the food more than makes up for it.

Must Try: Pepper Chicken, Punugulu, Mughlai Chicken.

A great choice for hearty, South Indian–inspired meals that hit the spot without pretense.

I visit this restaurant almost every day because the food truly feels like home-cooked comfort. The taste is authentic, fresh, and reminds me of proper Indian ghar-ka-khana. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile.

Their biryani is absolutely delicious – perfect flavor, aroma, and spice level. The buffet is superb with lots of varieties, interesting dishes, and consistently good quality. Whether it’s daily meals or weekend treats, this place never disappoints.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for tasty, homely Indian food! ️

I had the buffet on a weekday. The selection was plentiful and the flavors were outstanding. This is the best Indian food I have had, and I’ve been to many restaurants. I also love the added nice touch that they serve chai tea with their buffet. I used to come to this restaurant when it was Taj Palace and the food is definitely comparable if that is what you were used to.

Amulya Indian Cuisine in Bellevue has become our go-to spot, and for good reason! I’m consistently pleased by the quality of their food. Every dish is so well-balanced with spice and flavor, hitting all the right notes without being overwhelming. The meats are always incredibly tender and never dry, which is a huge plus. With a fantastic assortment of biryanis, curries, and plenty of options, whether you prefer mild or spicy, vegetarian or non-vegetarian, there’s always something delicious to enjoy. If you’re looking for an Indian restaurant where you can count on an excellent meal every time, Amulya is a fantastic choice.

I went in on a Thursday and got the lunch buffet at about 1:00 p.m. Like anywhere else, that’s not the freshest point of the buffet. I was impressed that they have goat Curry on the buffet. So I went again the following day, Friday, just after the main crowd. I was even more impressed on my second visit. As far as buffet goes I thought it was a pretty good selection.

Very ethnic Indian, perhaps to an extreme. In the mixed crowd of diners there were many extremely ethnic Indian people on both occasions. This place is totally legit food wise. Right off the boat.

Friendly and unpretentious.

The price is about what I would expect for a buffet with authentic Indian food, including goat Curry, and a lot of great fresh dishes. ~26$. They surely are not scrimping on the spice content of their wonderful dishes.

Additionally and importantly, the naan was great, and was put on the buffet in regular fresh batches.

It’s a bit dumpy, perhaps more than a tad third world, and thereby refreshingly very un-Seattle.
