Hey Influencers!!
RUE 77 is pure European charm—cozy yet bright. White and full brick walls from the original restored building, high ceilings, board floors, bistro chairs. Tables of all capacities, French racks add those French-ware decorative touches. Bakery goods? Seriously! Unreal. Flaky croissants, fresh pastries made on-site, European sandwiches, frittatas, daily switch-ups. Their matcha lattes? I’m picky, and they nail it.
Grab a yellow-striped canvas bag (my fave) or a simple Rue 77 on a blue or white tee—perfect gifts, friends love them.
This spot’s in Maine’s Pemaquid Region, downtown Damariscotta. Rare, airy, with window bar seating too, ready for your latte shot. Too good to miss—solo or crew.

New ownership. (There were positions open when I was there )… just up from Schooner Landing pier. Parking in street or public parking waterfront behind.

I can only judge based on one limited encounter. The pastry I tried was a brioche square with raspberry and vanilla cream filling. The pastry itself was dry, and perhaps not fresh, or so it seemed. The filling was tasty. The cappuccino was fair. The store itself if beautiful, serene, and there are lots of viewing options, and there is some outdoor seating on the sidewalk for people watching and/or sun worship. Prices are too high.

What a beautiful spot. I was so impressed with the coffee, sweet and frittata that I purchased. The Americano was piping hot and perfectly strong. The biscotti had just the right amount of crunch. The frittata looked amazingly appetizing and was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’m glad I stopped in!

Oh my gosh they were so lovely! I had been wanting to go for a while and I’m glad I did. I ordered an Italian Sausage frittata (delicious) and I bought a super cute Rue77 shirt as well!

The staff were all so welcoming as soon as I stepped in, and every other customer there looked happy and content. It’s a great spot to bring a friend (or a solo-trip). Will definitely be going back!

Clean cozy spot with friendly staff. Good coffee, nice and hot. Had a cinnamon roll and a scone, both were excellent although I wish they could have heated up the cinnamon roll but they said they can’t. Also, the bar seats are pretty uncomfortable, which is too bad as we like sitting at the bar and looking out the window at the street, but we wound up moving to a table which was more comfortable. Overall great spot and right on the main drag, good location.

Charming café with pastries, coffee, and fresh baked bread. Strong European vibe, sunny and bright space to enjoy delicious treats and conversation, but also has a few more substantial offerings of ham and cheese, egg sandwich, so you can have a meal. A nice addition to the downtown scene.

Went to this little cafe Friday after Christmas with my mom and sister. When I am home in Maine I like to find cozy places to visit. I had the most amazing soup and have been thinking about it since tomato chickpea and meatballs! Warm filling and delicious! I of course didn’t take a photo but did grab a photo of my delicious and perfect coffee!
Please suppose so they stay open and are still there for my next visit!

What a sweet, cozy cafe! It took me a while to check it out but I’m sorry it took me so long – I visited on a rainy day and instantly felt like I was whisked away to another world. Great music, lovely setup, and delicious food. I got one of the breakfast sandwiches (and have been back since, ordered a blueberry scone), both delicious. Thank you for adding such a wonderful new option to Damariscotta 🙂

What a beautiful addition to our quaint town. When walking through the doors of Rue 77, the European style esthetics—with pops of cheerful yellow—can’t help but put a smile on your face. As you look around, you are greeted with fresh loaves of hearty breads; mouthwatering pastries; richly flavored gelato selections, and a full-service espresso bar—which offers an array of both hot and cold beverages—complimented with upscaled homemade flavored syrups, if you like your lattes a little sweet.

Rue is the perfect addition to the list of great businesses, Damariscotta has to offer!
