TLDR: vegan pizza is very flavorful, the vegan burrata on top of it is scrumptious! Staff is super nice and accommodating! Open seating & slices available (not the vegan option).
Their naturally-leavened pizza dough is made from local organic wheat and fermented for at least 3 days perfect balance of flavors. We found ourselves in North Beach on a busy Saturday night and one hour of free time before our show at the Club Fugazi. We do like vegan pizzas from Toni’s but the wait time was too long, so after a quick google search we learnt that the “Flour + Water” now offers vegan option too! We are so happy we came here: I usually love to add hot sauce for flavor but their vegan pizza had a perfect balance and didn’t even use the hot sauce! My husband went to order pizza while I was looking for a table, he doesn’t like eggplants so he asked to serve them on the side and they did cook them and brought on the side (I’d think that most vegetables are added on top of pizza raw and are cooked while pizza is being cooked).

I have been wanting to try their pizza for a while, and finally got a chance to have it while hanging out with friends.
We ordered their Meatza Pizza, Cacio e Pepe Pizza, and Mozzarella Sticks. Everything tasted amazing. I especially loved their Cacio e Pepe Pizza, which came with mozzarella, pecorino cream, fontina, garlic, and black pepper. It’s so simple, but so good! Highly recommended!
*The street parking nearby is quite tough.

The service is super quick and friendly, and the wine selection is top-notch. But the real star of the show is the delicious thin crust pizza. And guess what? They even have a vegan option, which was absolutely amazing!
The kitchen team is incredibly efficient and quick on their feet. We watched them while we waited for our meal, and we can’t thank them enough for making such tasty pizzas for us. They truly deserve all the credit!

We stumbled across this place after a day exploring the city. Waited 10 minutes for a table. Atmosphere was lively but enjoyable and didn’t affect being able to have a conversation. Food was amazing and service was brilliant. (I could see the waitress checking our table or positioning herself for us to catch her if we needed but without interrupting us).

Visited here for lunch with family, located in little Italy in San Francisco. Very nice decor spacious restaurant. They also have take out counter. We ordered Calabrian chicken wings, burrata pizza and pesto pizza. Wings were simply delicious. Both pizzas were very tasty. Service was excellent as well. There are several veg choices on the menu. Highly recommend this place.

So after waiting 30+ minutes across the street at Tony’s we asked how much longer the wait would be and were told that we had already been called and we’d be moved to the end of the wait line again. We responded silently, turned around walked across the street and enjoyed two phenomenal pies at Flour and Water. We miss you in the Mission! We often order the Burrata pie and the Pepperoni pie but every pie we ever ordered has been exceptional. Give them a try. They make great pie!

We were in North Beach looking for pizza by the slice. We came in through the main entrance and when we asked if they served by the slice, they said they did but we’d have to order and sit down in the back of the restaurant. The back room is where people pick up their “To Go” orders and where the restrooms are located. It reminded me of a back of house employee dining room. We were the only ones in there!
The pizza was a thicker Detroit style pizza which they said is the type of pizza they serve by the slice. The other pizzas on their menu are a different thin crust. The pizza was really bready and missed the mark for being in the Little Italy neighborhood.
Overall, it was just a bizarre experience. It would have been nice to be able to dine in the main room with everyone else.

Place was great. Draft beer menu was small, but had some local options which is always a treat. Tried the following foods:

Absolutely loved the genuine, friendly service and great food here. Service was a team effort with everyone going out of their way to be sure we were taken care of. Appetizers (Brussels sprouts and mozzarella sticks) were so tasty. We each ordered our own pizza and all 3 were delicious–extra pieces of each kind found their way into a box to enjoy later.
