I had a great experience at The Original Steaks and Hoagies! We went around 5 PM on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at all. The place was very clean, the staff was super friendly, and our food came out in less than 8 minutes.
I ordered a cheesesteak, and honestly it was the best one I’ve ever had. The fries were also out of this world! I don’t know what they do differently, but they were hands-down the best fries I’ve ever eaten. I’d go back tomorrow just for those fries.
Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality made it worth it. Everything was fantastic, and I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a casual dining spot. Super hot, fresh, chopped in front of your face (if you’re into that) steak hoagies with hot, stretchy cheese …Tons of it. Of that what you like then this place should be on your radar. I had to add salt to my sandwich and fries suit my taste, but I goes that I’d rather add more salt than to have them over salt it .
Super friendly owner and staff. I’m really happy to see something new in this neighborhood.
The fries were great, the onion rings were good.
I also tasted the cheese filled tater tots. They were a flavor explosion.

Place looks a little weird from the outside, inside 8 out of 10 BUT it’s our first time, guy at the front lead us to choosing great food , I had the large original Philly, fresh cut fries are great! He had a smash burger that came with fries & a drink. Super fast, fresh to bad it’s far.

Location and timing matters. Visited a different branch and they were light on the sub filling. Been to this location twice during mid afternoon and the subs were stuffed both times. Recommend the original steak and cheese. During a time when other sub chains have cut back on portions, it’s nice to have this alternative.

Ordered from here after seeing a video on social media about this place. Excited to try, but very disappointed! Ordered at 8:52pm- it’s now 10:03pm and our order still has NOT arrived. Texted the driver TWICE-no response. So I called the store TWICE- and no answer. Got their answering machine but couldn’t even leave a message. Over 25 min late on the first order (if we even get it) is just not good business. POOR service to not answer the phone and be that late for sandwiches. 10:05pm- FINALLY GOT OUR FOOD. LUKEWARM at best-almost soggy bread. Onion rings COLD. definitely can tell it sat for a while before being delivered (we live less than 12 min from location)

I’ve ordered from here several times. Well the food is always great. The service is lackluster. Anytime I request something like no mushrooms on one one the sandwiches on my order it always comes with mushrooms. I even asked for them to market which of course they did not.
I’ve gotten the Philly fries before while my wife got a sandwich. I specifically ordered only whizz cheese. I also wrote in the notes only whizz cheese and that I don’t want provolone on the Philly fries. of course they put provolone instead of whizz cheese.
this place could be great if they could listen to simple directions on an online order

Dave made my cheesesteak just right the first time I ate here (5 stars). Being born and raised in Philly, I know how a cheesesteak is suppose to look and taste. The second time going my cheesesteak was heavy. I’m guessing the grill was not scraped which left grease on it, then put on the roll (not Dave, tall white guy). The third time going I turned around and left the store as I saw the cook (same tall white guy) grab a handful of meat WITH NO GLOVES. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this store.
