I recently visited Empire Restaurant, and overall it was a fairly decent dining experience.
The restaurant is quite spacious and well laid out, with seating arranged across different levels. This makes the place feel less crowded and comfortable even when there are many diners around.
We ordered popcorn chicken, creamy chicken tikka, butter naan, chicken veruval, along with watermelon juice and fresh lime soda. The food was okay overall—nothing exceptional but satisfactory. Among the dishes, the popcorn chicken stood out as the better one in terms of taste. The creamy chicken tikka was average, and the chicken veruval was also fairly ordinary. On the positive side, the watermelon juice tasted fresh and refreshing.
The service was good, and the staff attended to us promptly, which made the experience pleasant.
Overall, it’s a spacious and comfortable place to dine, though the food could have been a bit more impressive. Still, it’s a decent option if you are in the Vijayanagar area.

The food here is awesome — they’ve kept the same quality as Bangalore Empire. It’s open till 2 AM, but after 11 PM biryani is usually sold out. Still, the food quality is top-notch and the service is great. Definitely worth a visit!

The chicken salads are tasty
but the Kadai Chicken was not worth. They said to change the option which is easily available when ordering the food, we changed the option but waited for a long time. I don’t know why they said that.

️ Food & Menu Variety
Empire lives up to its reputation with a wide array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. From classic South Indian staples to North Indian gravies and grilled items, the menu caters to diverse palates. Non-vegetarians might wish for a few more specialty options, but the existing selection is satisfying and flavorful.

The overall taste is consistently good, with well-balanced spices and fresh ingredients. A standout item is the coin porotta—crispy, flaky, and perfect when paired with their signature curries. It’s a must-try for first-time visitors.

We tried the chicken rice, chicken kebab, and vegetable rice here. The food tasted okay, nothing exceptional but decent enough. What really bothered us though was the constant disturbance from the staff. Even after we said we didn’t want anything else, 3–4 different people kept coming again and again, asking us to order juice or something additional. It made the dining experience uncomfortable instead of enjoyable.

As a foodie who has tried all branches of Empire, including the one on the Mysore-Bangalore Expressway, this was a major, major disappointment!

The waiter was quite rude with us, repeating the same thing of 10-15 minutes, even for French Fries! He also shouted at us saying ‘You didn’t order in the first go’, do they not want repeat orders??

This is purely built for the people living near Infosys and surrounding areas. This is not really the taste we expected. Chicken Hyderabadi was extremely bland, it reminded me of a gravy I would get in a 2 star or 3 star restaurant.

They had absolutely no idea on how service works in the restaurant business, having to wait 30 minutes for a Shawarma, to also 10 minutes just for the bill? This is absolutely not expected.

Coming to the food, having quarter chicken where they mentioned it would be enough for 4 people, it was more like small chicken popcorn.

All in all, I would rather visit the main branch in Gokulam, rather than this horrendous experience!!

I had a pleasant visit to Empire Restaurant! The desserts were delightful, especially the creamy pudding and the chocolate brownie bites. ✨ Service was poor maybe due to rush. Had ample parking space.

Visited Empire Restaurant, Mysore for a group dine, and overall it was a good experience. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and is suitable for group outings. The food was served in good quantity and the taste was nice, especially the non-vegetarian dishes. Service was fairly quick considering it was a group order.
A few items could have been better in terms of consistency, but nothing too disappointing. Overall, it’s a decent place for group dining if you’re looking for variety, filling portions, and a comfortable setting, go for it!
