Prices have gone up significantly, which I understand to some extent given the current economy. But what’s frustrating is that despite the higher prices, nothing about the restaurant has been updated since it first opened. It looks exactly the same as it did on day one. After all these years, it’s concerning that there have been no visible upgrades, especially when it comes to cleanliness and overall upkeep. It gives the impression that even basic items like utensils and dishware may not have been refreshed either.
The takeout portions have also become noticeably small. No plastic utensils are provided, and being charged extra for duck sauce — after already paying around $20 for a combo plate — feels excessive. While I understand that operating costs have risen for businesses, they’ve also risen for customers. The people paying those prices are the ones keeping the doors open.
It would be great to see some reinvestment into the space and a little more effort to enhance the overall experience. Right now, everything feels overly penny-pinching, and that’s disappointing when there are newer, more modern restaurants offering the same quality and taste at a similar price point — but with a better overall experience.
It’s 2026. A few updates and small gestures of appreciation toward loyal customers would go a long way.
Fast and friendly service. Bar seating area often has half priced appetizers with drinks at certain times. Excellently strong and cheap mixed drinks and scorpion bowls. Will come here until I die.
And if you go on a weekend, ask for Jessica. She’s a hoot!
