Field & Fire Cafe is hands down the most amazing spot in Grand Rapids! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the aroma of fresh-baked pastries and hearty, farm-to-table dishes that just scream quality. I absolutely love their food—everything from the savory sandwiches to those flaky, buttery croissants is spot on and made with such care.
The service here is outstanding; the staff is friendly, efficient, and always makes you feel welcome. A special shoutout to the wonderful lady who cooks my meals every time—she’s incredibly sweet, remembers my order, and nails it perfectly without fail. It’s that personal touch that keeps me coming back.
If you’re in Grand Rapids, this is a must-stop, but plan to swing by before 3pm to catch them at their best. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee and pastry or sitting down for a full meal, Field & Fire never disappoints. Five stars all the way!

I have always loved Field & Fire. I buy baked goods from them everytime I go to the Fulton Street Farmers Market, but I had never been to the Cafe until yesterday. I was very impressed, the set up was beautiful and the seating was comfortable! I got a peppermint mocha cruffin and it was delicious, they do croissants very very well! Once the next semester starts I will definitely be frequenting the cafe to study and chill 🙂

I was drawn here by the descriptions of their wonderful baked goods. I stopped in and can confirm that they are as good as advertised. The pastries are flavorful and executed flawlessly. We also tried their breakfast burritos, and they are as good as any I have had. I couldn’t find anything wrong with them: they are packed with flavorful ingredients, the different components are dispersed well throughout the burrito, and they held together. The sauces packed a punch too! I picked up a couple loaves of bread too, and am looking forward to trying those!

We’re crazy for this place! Excellent latte and coffee, amazing baked goods, and such yummy breakfast items. We shared the asparagus toast one morning, and wow! So good. We’ll be back one day.

Field & Fire Cafe is a cool little spot just outside of downtown Grand Rapids. They’ve got a solid menu with great options for both breakfast and lunch, and the food was really good. It wasn’t too busy even on a weekend, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
They also serve coffee and have a nice selection of desserts if you’re just looking for a quick treat. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and want something a bit more low-key with quality food.

Visited the Christkindl Market in GR and got a stollen roll. Having eaten a lot of stollen in my life, I can honestly say that was the best stollen I’ve ever eaten. I wish I had this recipe (can I??). I will try to get back for a whole loaf next time. Wonderful!

so glad we have field and fire cafe in the north Monroe area. I especially love their curry caesar salad, rotating soups, and the chocolate chip scone (it’s best one the city for sure). It’s a laptop friendly space & attract a wide age demographic that’s homey to be embraced within.

When I worked around the corner this was my favorite spot to grab lunch. The hardest part is figuring out what to order because I love the entire menu. If I had to pick my fav breakfast option is the hot mess skillet and favorite lunch item is the falafel sandwich. Every pastry is delicious and don’t sleep on the kouigan amann – I actually don’t know how to pronounce it but they are like a buttery layered croissant in the shape of a muffin and I love them.

Their bread is life changing, and their local, organic ingredients really shine in all their dishes! The coffee is wonderful, too! Highly recommend both the cafe location and the Downtown Market location (bread and baked goods only).

Came in to get some work done over lunch and was delighted with the quality of service, food, and the noise levels in the cafe. I got the falafel sandwich, which was delicious and the perfect portion size for lunch. My girlfriend got the vegan skillet and had a little left over, although she thoroughly enjoyed it. Their wifi was great, even with plenty of other patrons being on their computers as well. The whole ambiance was clean and welcoming. I suggest trying their seasonal mango lemonade, it was tart and refreshing.
