The owner and staff are very personable. My hot wings with lemon pepper sprinkles and ribs combo that included fries was very good! The homemade ranch and blue cheese dressings were good too. If it had come with celery and carrot sticks and a drink it would have really been the bomb!
They added in a gratuity so take note if you’re tipping too.
My server said they run specials during the week and will be available for the Super Bowl weekend. The owner says he is ready! Check them out soon!

I had the lemon and pepper wet wings. They were buffalo hot with lemon and pepper. These wings were so good. But I took a star off cause they were the smallest wings I ever seen. They were so good but I could have ordered a 20 pc. I would definitely go there again. It came out in like 5-10 minutes which was great

Place was totally empty. Sitting in the dark one TV on no sound. It was 4PM mind you. Placed the order before I arrived. I had yell out for someone to come to the front. When arrived at the bar he act as if I was disturbing him. Mind you my food was not ready but I had to pay for it first. So I ordered a drink while I’m waiting it was horrible. He was annoyed again because I said I wanted a drink. Again place is totally empty he didn’t make it correctly but had the nerve to charge me 20 for this weak Margarita. Ordered a 50 piece and was charged a high ticket for these wings that were the size of mice feet. Packed them in a small container. They were awful. I WILL NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! The rudeness and the over priced food and drink. ALSO MY FOOD WAS COLD!!! Only person like do better at least for others because I will NEVER COME BACK!!!!

We ordered Togo. Chicken and waffles, cheese fries and fried mushrooms. We picked up our order only to find out that we were charged an additional $10 apparently for a forced “gratuity”.
The guy at the bar was nice and got our food together- definitely not worth $10 gratuity for putting some boxes in a bag.
The cheese fries were good. That was it.
Their “almost famous” chicken and waffles will NEVER be famous. Probably the worst chicken and waffles any of us had tried. The chicken was thin it crunched like a potato chip. The waffle was soggy and the syrup tastes like some $1.00 great value brand and do not get me started on their liquid butter…nope. Never again.
I wanted to love it so bad! It was such a disappointment.
Thank god we had fries to fill us up. Waste of $60.

I’m actually speechless and struggling to write this review. We placed a phone order with the expectation that the food would be done when we arrived. WRONG! We had to reorder and wait once we arrived, the bartender was friendly though. The wait was approximately 20 minutes.
This is where is took a turn…these are micro-mini wings! I’ve never had wings this tiny. I am NOT exaggerating. I ordered 10 wings with fries, there was another order of wings and clam strips w/fries, one with wings and chicken fingers, and wings, fries and shrimp. When we received our food, surprise…micro-mini wings (if they could be called wings). Once we got back to the spot, we re-evaluated our food. It was even worse than we thought. Lil wings and COLD fries. I was so ready to dominate my food. I’m actually saddened at the quality and size. I WILL NEVER RETURN.
We completely understand the business waiting to place/cook food when we arrive since they didn’t take payments over the phone and the bartenders would have been responsible for the cost had we not come. Give us a warning.

This is the worse J.R. Crickets i have ever been to the food was cold and the wait was terrible. Order my food at 10:55pm and didn’t get the food till 12:10am. The wings was extremely small and very dry for some hot wings. I ask extra sauce and never got it. I will never return to this location.

J.R. Crickets food truck had the opportunity to shine and they completely dropped the ball. Friday 10/3/25 was tailgate night at Woodward Academy.
The menu that was provided and the even the electronic menu were not honored as they were out of several items. The quoted time of 15-20 minutes was a total flop. The 1st person to order waited nearly 50 minutes. I (5th person to order) waited 47 minutes for boneless wings and fries. They staff was not friendly, were not communicating with those who were waiting for food. I asked twice for a status update and was ignored. It wasn’t until I asked for a refund that my food “was ready”. I spent half of the time of the tailgate trying to pacify a hungry 5 year old.
They actually refunded money because a lady asked for her two sodas that she had paid for. The reason from JR Crickets staff was the soda’s weren’t cold. The lady was good with the sodas not being cold. The lady then asked for a refund for two other orders.
This was a bust! There were people who ordered from the Smash burger truck like 20 minutes after I placed my order and they were finished eating before my food came out.

I placed an order through Grubhub and when I say I am disappointed and will never order from here again I mean it! I ordered a single 10pc with fries. I received all drums and a couple of broken bones as if they gave it to a dog then recooked it. I also received overcooked soggy French fries! If I were you I would head over to another location where your food might come out better. The second photo is after I threw out my fries and looked around my wings to discover the weird looking bones of the chicken. Who gives a customer food like this??

We ate there a few nights ago. The bar tender told us to sit anywhere. When our waitress finally came she didn’t introduce herself. We ordered our food which took over 30 min to come out and it wasn’t busy in the restaurant at all. As I was eating my food there was a bone in my fish wrap, I ate a second bite and discovered another one so I was only able to eat my fries. I would’ve ordered something else but the waitress didn’t come check on us. We had to flag down another employee to get some help. Once we told them the issue the waitress didn’t want to discount/refund us so we asked for her boss. The bartender and the waitress came to meet us. They insisted the fish had no bones yet I still had the original bone that I found wrapped in a paper towel. I’ve gotten food to go here and it was good however this experience was awful. I work in customer service and how we were spoken to and how the situation was handled was not professional at all.

I’ve eaten here hand full of times. My top favorite thing I enjoy here is the chicken tenders & fries combo. I have eaten their fish however it’s not seasoned enough so I’ll rather stick to the chicken side of things in here. Their bartenders vary & don’t always provide customer service. I did notice they tax harshly on their food + gratuity. I would recommend stopping here during happy hr or a lunch special.
