The menu was incredibly clear, with a formula style format.
We got a lot of food including the oysters for starters, which were great.
Mains we got, mussels in cream cause (amazing, must get) , pork which was great and beef which was so flavoursome!
Desserts, rice pudding (my favourite), poached apple and pear tart! Get the rice pudding in my opinion.
Cider was great there and also the wine was good!
Price for everything was very reasonable considering we were on an island!
Would highly recommend!

One of the most awesome experience. The food was delcious and beautifully served. The chefs are great. Fast clean cooking too. The service by Fafa waitress was the best have ever given. She was very attentive for every client detail, well behaved and communicative. She gave us the best sugesstion for food. She remembers all the other tables orders. She loves her job. And you should know this. I have my self restaurant but in another country and is the person i would always admire to have at my own staff at least one as her ♀️ .

Just wanted to write a review specifically for the French onion soup, in case someone is looking for that specifically. You will see that it is not exactly “traditional” in how it is presented, but the flavours are indeed OUT OF THIS WORLD! Very tasty, delicious and comforting. Nice ambiance in the restaurant too and kind service. I have a hard time justifying the price nonetheless so went with 4 stars but you will not be disappointed in this tasty soup if you’re looking for a delicious French onion soup!

Dinner at La Confiance, a warm and welcoming place right on the island. One of the few spots still open after 7 PM. The cider-braised beef was very tender, and the baked apple with salted caramel was a perfect way to finish the meal. Friendly service and a calm, cozy atmosphere, especially by the fireplace. ⭐️

The food was great but the service was not pleasant. We were approached by a waitress, Alex (young woman with tattoo on her neck) – she asked us in French if we were ready to order. She spoke very fast, so my friend who studies French didn’t catch the question. Then the waitress asked us “English?” And when we said “yes please”, she had such an annoyed face, it was clear without any words that we were not welcomed there by her. Considering the amount of tourists coming from all around the world to see magnificent Mont Saint Michel, it was really unexpected to experience such behaviour from the waitress in such highly rated restaurant. It seems that we were just unlucky because when we paid attention to other guests and waiters, they all looked pleasant and welcoming to the guests. In the end, we left full of food but also frustrated with the service.

We had a great dinner here! We made a reservation the same day and are glad we did because the restaurant got very busy! We ordered a galette and the Beef bourguignon and the apple dessert – which was so good we ordered a second! Everything was amazing and the staff was so friendly!

Mont-Saint-Michel is known for its masses of tourists. You would expect that every business on this little island just wants to process as much customers as possible, so there would be little to no time for actual hospitality.
La Confiance near the entrance of the island showed us real hospitality: a friendly and warm atmosphere in combination with authentic French cuisine and superb service made this charming restaurant the perfect place to end our busy day with a fine and relaxing dinner.
Especially the baked Normandy apple was a dessert that truly tasted like dessert at your grandmother’s house: made with lots of love, care and warmth.
Our visit at this restaurant has been the perfect conclusion to a fantastic day at Mont-Saint-Michel!

Although the start was a bit chaotic, the staff quickly made us feel at ease with their attentive and friendly service. Delicious food with a perfectly fluffy omelette — a must-try in Mont Saint-Michel! The staff were super kind, and service was quick. It’s also pet-friendly, which we really appreciated. One of the staff members, a lovely woman, even took a moment to pet our dog — such a sweet gesture. Thank you for the warm welcome!
