Great restaurant to try good variety food.
Was moderately busy and moderately priced.
Location was a bit away from crowded city and in a good way.
Food was tasty and service was really good.
Tried couple of dishes and tacos and liked them.
I would recommend this place.

Freshest chips I’ve ever had! The Queso is yummy as is the salsa. I had a burrito combo, one beef and one chicken. The beef was spot on delicious. The chicken was a bit dry and thick, would have liked it mixed with some sauce inside the burrito and shredded up more, but that’s me. Delicious sauce on everything and served with a Mexican salad. If lettuce tomatoes cheese and sour cream that is great to eat on top of the burritos. Service here is very attentive and welcoming. I’ll be back for sure.

Praise be. This place is shockingly good! I had the shrimp Fajita Quesadilla and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how big the shrimp were. The flavors were amazing and I would order it again in a heartbeat, although I would get it without the salad next time.
The queso was so much thicker than most places and really delicious.
My mom LOVED her rice bowl with grilled chicken.
Everything was wonderful and the rest of the menu looks super promising for our next visit.

Update: recently came back they have a new location.
The food was better than I remembered and the service was good. There were a lot of people eating there and it seems to be a good addition to the shopping center. I will go back and raised it up a star.
Got take out here for the first time. Run of the mill Mexican food from Columbus, not horrible but not particularly good either but certainly at par.
My veggie burrito came with a strange side salad which I ate, and rice. No side of beans unfortunately. The chips were a bit stale but they gave a lot of them. Guacamole was $4 for 5 ounces, which needed some salt.
Very spacious inside. Lots of seating but we took ours to go. Was greeted when I entered and customer service seemed attentive.

This was a hidden gem- in our quest to eat at all Mexican places in the greater Columbus area (I am almost kidding), we stumbled on this unassuming spot!
The decor inside is spectacular- clean and looks new. We were immediately greeted and had our pick of booth or table in different sections. The sections are divided which helps keep the noise level down.
There was a Sunday special menu! BONUS and we had a nice mix of salsas and chips. The half price apps meant we had to try one and the chorizo and cheese fundido did not disappoint. The cheese was hot and delicious and chorizo plentiful.
My son enjoyed the chicken tenders and loved the fries. I had the huervos rancheros (the jalapeño and onions on point) with chiliques and tater tots- I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy the tots! Excellent brunch pairing!
My husband had the beef and cheese nachos- I would say the only thing lacking was some pico, but we had salsa and that worked!
Next time I would try their happy hour drinks.
I’m not sure why more folks weren’t enjoying this place- all the food was fresh and delicious- the space was holiday festive and the staff friendly.
Kudos to the kitchen team!

Wow, this Mexican restaurant rocks…
I am usually critical of Mexican restaurants, but today, I was impressed. This place was spot on. Typically, Mexican restaurants all serve the same mediocre Mexican food with poor service. Tomatillos surprised me…
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and very cool decor. The service was spot on – Samuel is a Rockstar waiter. The food was awesome – I had the Aztec burrito in a bowl with their salad, which was awesome – wifie had Pollo Loco, which she loved. The pricing was fair for the quality of the experience. I believe if you are tired of mediocre Mexican restaurants, this might be a great choice for you.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Service was horrible. Asked multiple times just for napkins waited over an hour to get our track after we were clearly done. Eating food was covered in Greece. Salad had no dressing at all. There was missing items from our orders. Taco Bell would have been a better choice as much as I hate to say that. I do a lot of reviews on here, but this one I truly wish I could give less than one star they do not deserve the one star they get. It has been five hours since eating there and I am now sitting in the ER with signs of food poisoning. Do not waste your time money or health going to this shack

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Has reasonable vegetarian options as well. Lots of seating space but can get very busy. Food was delicious and tres leches was worth it!

I was new here, enjoying trying different mexican restaurants. Tomatillos really missed the mark. Services was below average and food was the same. A friend ordered a chicken salad and the chicken must have been close to the seafood because it tasted as such.

My most recent experience with this restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered online. For my Mexican cheese steak tacos, the menu says that they are served with refried beans. It used to be that you had three options for your tacos: 1) order them individually and get whatever number of them you wanted 2) order 4 of the same taco to save some money 3) order 3 tacos and a side. Now the only option is the three tacos and a side but different tacos come with different sides. I don’t like refried beans so when I clicked on them to order online I was excited to see that it still gave you the option to pick your side so I chose rice and further down clicked no refried beans. When I got home with my food, there was no rice or beans. Also, I paid $4.99 for a small queso dip. Last time I went, that got me a probably 4-6 oz styrofoam cup of queso. This time, I got a 2 oz condiment cup that wasn’t even full. ARE Y’ALL JOKING?!! $4.99 for not even 2 oz of queso. Look I understand times are tough but that is a rip off. If you gave me the same size cup as before for $1 more I would totally understand. But if you are going to change your sizes, at least be honest about it. Instead of saying small, medium, or large, you should put how many ounces you are giving us so we can make an informed decision. I am very disappointed in that dishonesty. I have loved this place since it opened and have been a very loyal patron. Right now I am unemployed and I trusted this place to give me a yummy but reasonably priced lunch and I felt cheated. I would expect more from a family run small business whose loyal patrons very likely kept them from closing during the pandemic like so many other small businesses had to. Do better because until you do, I won’t be back and I won’t be recommending this place either.
