No wonder this place is always alone. The food wasn’t great. I asked the lady for fries and some of those fried shrimp things (not sure what they’re called ) but she gave me like five fries and two of the fried shrimp dispite having a whole trays worth (almost) and it being less than an hr before closing on a dead night. Also no refills?!?! At a buffet? Way to not want your customers to return.

Lord save your time save your hard earn money and save your energy to walk up in this place, this place is disgusting the people are rude they were arguing with their family right in front of all of their guests. They don’t even have orange chicken or any kind of chicken except fried Chicken and I’ve never even seen those sizes of chicken before they were extra extra large fried chicken I don’t even know if that was real chicken. I don’t leave bad reviews you can look at my history this place is a joke and it was dirty

There were only a few options to choose from, and the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the warmer for too long. The chow mein was okay but lacked flavor. The fried rice was dry, hard, and overcooked. The steamed vegetables had a strange smell and an odd taste. The fried chicken was decent but nothing special. I asked for chili oil, but it didn’t look or smell right—it had an off scent. Unfortunately, after eating, my stomach started to hurt and I got sick afterward. Honestly, I would let my worst enemy eat there(I hate them).

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I’ve traveled all over China and this is mostly American style Chinese food, not many selections but I love the noodles here. I really like the staff who are so friendly. Come for the noodles, try the rest

Used to come here as a child & made a visit today after 15 years. The food & service were exactly how I remember it. Great food, the staff are nice & appreciative. The only thing that changed was that they went to disposable flatware & silverware. For any native Phoenicians: this is tasty Americanese food.

It’s a small family owned business with about ten tables for seating. Decent food for the cheap price. Although there are limited selections, it is still all-you-can-eat, which is a killer deal. Cash only though, so be prepared that they don’t accept card payments.

So today on 09-22-25 my mom and I came to eat here. They Chinese lady who charges the food, she charges recieves money, gives change and at the same time serves food with out putting gloves on to either charge or serve. Also she saw her picking her nose and I told her not to do that. This is disgusting. Will never ever come eat here again NASTYYYY

This place is a historical icon of the area. Been eating here for 40 years and practically nothing has changed. They’ve got new-to-them seating recently, and COVID protocols have them using paper plates, cups, throw away utensils, and the workers prepare your plate from the buffet (with your input) at $9 for just food or $10.75 with a drink this place is a steal. If you know, you know.

I’ve been going to the Golden Coin for about 50 years since they were near ASU in Tempe. The food is still good and the service although bit distant, but friendly. The reason may be cultural or a language issue. There seemed to be a few more selections before and they provided water, but it’s definitely a place I like going to. The food is familiar and consistent. And still all you can eat. I love their sweet and sour pork, and on Fridays, their fried fish.
