First of all, I am from Oklahoma and visiting Ames for a day. I saw the reviews of this restaurant and I decided to have lunch. Let me tell you that I order this pork, fish, and beef Szechuan dish every time I have a chance. This is one of the best I have had. I think for the quality and honesty of food they put out this restaurant deserves your attention (of course if you like asian food)

I always get the Hot & Spicy Chicken here and let me tell you, it cannot be beat. I’ve tried alternatives at other restaurants Ames and every time I do, I end up coming back here and ordering theirs because it is MILES better. Flavor is very strong and the white rice that comes with it is no joke probably the best most fluffiest rice I’ve ever had. My only problem is that the price point is a little steep ($18 before tip) along with the fact that a lot of the portion size is tiny fried bits that have no chicken or they are empty red pepper husks. All in all, flavor is incredible but value could definitely be improved.

A lot of unique and tasty food options here. The new owner also owns another restaurant I’ve been to, and the quality and service here is just as great as it is at his other location. Will be bringing my family out again.

Have ordered through door dash and picked up as well. Ordered the lunch house special mei fun and had to call twice about it. I received a small box of vermicelli noodles and a bowl of what looks like soup. Called they told me that is house special mei fun.
Open the liquid container and it has mock crab, scallops and shrimp in a soup base. Called again and was told that the house special has those items in them.
Had to read the menu before she understood that I was looking for noodles, in sauce with chicken, beer, and shrimp with veggies.
Can’t eat this. Should have stuck with walnut shrimp. Think I’m done with Chinese all together. Except for maybe Panda Express.

The best Chinese food in Ames. Their menu is HUGE and they offer very traditional Chinese food as well as classics like sesame chicken etc. They have actual dim sum tables, and I highly recommend going with a group and ordering different dishes to share. There is so many amazing things on the menu, it’s hard to pick just one when I go 🙂

I really love to eat here, I haven’t try all the plates , but I will someday , so far I been trying the spicy chicken, spicy fries and its so delicious I love to eat here because the food its amazing , serve very promptly its so , tasty and also the personal is so kind and respectful always smile and good customer service and they speak English and Spanish .
