This place has been around longer than I have been alive. I have been coming for 25 years as long as I have been with my wife. There almost is too much variety, but nothing suffers because of it. Great place to go if you want to impress someone. The rugula is perfectly flaky and sugary it is just an amazing bite. The almond horns are for real not that artificial almond taste. Well Done De Filippis Bakery Well Done.

My husband bought 2lbs of lady fingers to make tiramisu for Thanksgiving, a thanksgiving tradition of ours. This year, they threw them into a box and taped it up. When I got home I opened the box to start making the tiramisu and found that about 80% of them were completely deflated and basically a shell of the cookie. (See photos). I called the store to see what could be done on 11/25/25… well, I’m still waiting for a call back from the manager.. I attempted to salvage what I could and make the tiramisu.. it turned out to be very soupy because the cookies were half of what they should have been. Very disappointed with the service and the food this year. In search of better quality and better service in the future.

Recently had a cake made for my daughter’s party. The cake had potential, but the edible photo had air bubbles all over. I called the store to ask about it. Someone was supposed to return my call. Never got a return call, very disappointed.

Absolutely terrible experience – do not recommend for specialty cakes!
I ordered a heart-shaped black strawberry shortcake for my wedding, and what I picked up looked nothing like what I ordered. The cake didn’t even resemble a heart shape, and instead of black, it was a dull grey. When I asked why it wasn’t the right color, I was told that was “the closest they could get to black.” I asked why no one called to let me know, and the staff just stared at me like a deer in headlights.
To make things worse, when we cut into the cake during the reception, we realized it didn’t even have the strawberry jam filling it was supposed to! For such an important occasion, this was extremely disappointing. I would absolutely not recommend this bakery for any specialty or custom cakes.

I absolutely love De Flippis Italian Pastry Shop! The customer service is always outstanding, with the staff being incredibly friendly and welcoming every time we visit. While parking can be a bit tricky, it’s definitely worth it for the delicious treats inside. Their cappuccinos are a personal favorite—perfectly brewed every time! The pastries are always fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this gem for anyone in the mood for authentic Italian pastries and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Have been using this bakery for many years. Quality and service was always excellent. However awful experience this time.
Placed pre-order and paid in full to arrive on the pick up day and time. No preorder pickup line as in the past. Employees working extremely slow and appeared to not want to be there. Waited over 2 hours on line. Finally got to the counter and was told my order was not ready.
Worst service ever.
Don’t offer preorder service if no system in place.
Also hire employees that can work with the public and move rapidly to service peak times.
Hopefully the quality of baked goods I received are as good as in the past.
New ownership is destroying a well known bakery.
Very disappointed ☹️

Was a great place to pick up all the essentials to take back to Pennsylvania you can never get a good bagel outside of New York or a hard roll so we loaded up on these guys and it was an amazing experience. The whole place is authentic, as well as the employees were attentive. They could smile a little bit more but hey in this day and age if they talk to you anymore at a young age, just be thankful.

Horrible and mean staff. I was attempting to get the attentions staff to order and they just ignored me and went to the other customers.
After waiting for a while, I asked I wanted a “mixed” order of the cookies and one box of one specific cookies. They said there’s no such thing as “mixed” bc they call it a “cookie combo mix” order with attitude… isn’t that the same thing? She also just walked away from us and went to the back. Again I was waiting for someone to take my order again.
They completely ignored my other order of cookies. I asked for the workers name and she said “I’m not giving you my name.”
Don’t recommend. This place has gone downhill with new staff.
