We love dim sum and have tried at least five places in the area. We think the best dim sum restaurant in the Somerset area is Wonder Seafood. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has an authentic atmosphere.
If you go on a weekend, we recommend arriving shortly after they open because it gets crowded quickly. The ladies pushing the carts are always friendly and smiling as they recommend dishes, which makes the experience even better.
All the dishes are excellent, but we especially recommend the rice kanji, eggplant, and shrimp dumplings. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Went with group of people as I was visiting Central NJ. This place is your standard old school dim sum restaurant with push cart ladies hawking their delectable dishes. Standard fare with some unique items. Place was packed with locals on weekend day, suggest going early to avoid wait.

Revisited today…. I think it’s under new management… Still good taste but the price is not so convincing and there was something going on at checkout.. Pay attention on your charge is my advice…

I visited here for its Dim sum hours. Good taste, regular service quality because there were always large crowds there for dim sum … If you don’t like to wait, stay away from dim sum hours…. It’s also a pain to find a parking spot around the neighborhood for dim sum hours.
Went in last night with friends for dinner. Not crowded as Dim sum hours but still 3/4 tables were occupied. We ordered more than 10 dishes. Served really fast and delicious. Authentic Cantonese cuisine…..

Went recently after not going for a long while. I like how they remodeled and was even playing some smooth jazz lol They put soda on your table beforehand so if and when you open it, you get charged for it. The service was great and fast. But sadly, the food is not the same. The servings are smaller and the taste isn’t there. Lower food quality than before. It was okay but not the best. We paid around $30 per person which was good in this economy! Although, overall, we enjoy DimSum Seafood Restaurant in Avenel better!

There was a small crowd for a Friday night. We ordered four dishes. Food arrived quickly and the waiting staff was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the beef mushroom dish tasted slightly off (mushroom had a weird after taste) and the tofu was under seasoned. Fortunately, our old standby, salty fish chicken egg plant pot was well cooked.

We have eaten here many times and always had good food but this was our first time ordering take out. The take out was good but not great. The fried rice tasted smoky or burnt, there were barely any shrimp and the wonton soup was not very good. Better to dine in.

Super good place to have breakfast and lunch.It is always busy and they provide more than 20 types of steamed dishes. I like special services — dim sum on weekends and you can try all kinds of hongkong food .Recommend to try shrimp dumplings. On weekends, if you go there around noon,it is hard to find a parking spot because so many people come. Super yummy and cheap restaurant, recommend to go definitely!!!!!

For me the best dim sum experience of the Chinese restaurants in this area especially in taste. The restaurant doesn’t seem to as busy since Golden Seafood opened and many of the old staff at Wonder work at Golden now. However good for me as it easier to get in and I think the food is much better overall than Golden Seafood. I really like Dim Sum here over any of the other places in this particular area. I think for dinner dishes seafood dim sum on route 1-9 is a bit little better.

A bit on the pricey side but the food taste great and there are plenty of options to choose from.
Staff is attentive and polite. They come around with food pretty frequently and aren’t too pushy.
The shrimp and fish here are really good and I highly recommend.
