The server is very cool. Some days you get top tier plates and the food usually be on point with no issues , UNTIL today I was eating the turkey wings with yellow rice and Mac and cheese . As I was eating, something smelled sour. So I stop eating… Hours later I’m in urgent Care for food poisoning. Mind you this is all I ate today. I feel terrible stomach in shambles this has ruined turkey wings for me!
Update: My wife also got food poisoning and she had the oxtails . Yeah it’s safe to say they will never see us again !

I finally found my grandma’s cooking. Try them you wont regret it ! Best food in da city , fa sho’ . Every thing was seasoned to perfection. Server! Was extremely respectful and courteous! I would put there food up against any other soul food place in Miami. And ive lived here all my life !

Extremely unprofessional experience. This restaurant is completely misleading about their business hours. They closed nearly 40 minutes before their posted closing time, yet were still actively accepting orders through food delivery apps. Drivers showed up to pick up paid orders only to be turned away because the staff had already decided to shut down early.
This is unfair to customers who are paying for food they expect to receive and incredibly disrespectful to delivery drivers who are wasting time and gas for nothing. If you plan to close early, update your hours and turn off your ordering system. Poor communication and lack of accountability like this reflects very badly on the business. I would not recommend ordering from here until they fix these issues.

Today was my first time eating here. The lady who took my order did not have great customer service at all, which is why I gave the overall experience a 3star. I would have normally just walked out. Fast forward , when my food was ready she yelled “salmon croquettes. You can get your drink from out of there” and walked away. Like gone out of sight. . Remind you, I hadn’t even got up from my seat to see which one was the flavor that I ordered because again it was my first time there & it was different flavors . I did ask the lady who was cooking and she was very pleasant and ended up assisting me. On the other hand, the food was good. I ordered salmon croquettes with grits and eggs and a pineapple punch. I did pay for cheese but didn’t get it which is fine. I was still able to eat it without having to add anything and the drink was good as well.

Wanted the shrimp dinner, but they didn’t have shrimp available so I ordered the chicken wings, mac and cheese, collard green, and seafood rice…sounds delicious, right? but it wasn’t…In fact I didn’t like it, their food is definitely nothing to rave about or to ever have again. Plus they forgot to add my cornbread, which based on other reviews is a very common occurrence. And based on the food I did get, I honestly didn’t really care because everything lacked flavor and proper seasoning and it probably would’ve been another disappointment. Did I eat everything? NO Would I go again? NO Would I recommend? NO

Been in Miami for 4 days and nothing was good. Brother/Sisters bbq Pit was TRASHHH. Found Tippy’s on our last day . Thank gawd. Food wonderful, customer services was on point.

The establishment was truly remarkable! Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the owners’ daughters. Subsequently, the owner herself came out and thoroughly explained the entire menu to us. Each member of our party selected a different dish, and everything was absolutely delicious! Every order arrived at the table steaming hot. My personal favorite was the fried snapper, which was fresh and seasoned to perfection! The peas and rice, cabbage, collard greens, and mac and cheese were also exceptionally tasty. To conclude our experience, we even took home some cake and banana pudding! We will certainly make another visit the next time we are in Miami!

Food is fresh and soooo good! I’m so happy to have found a place in Miami that doesn’t smell like old grease. The fried chicken was fresh, yellow rice so fluffy, mac & cheese so creamy, the collard greens was so fresh and meaty ommmmgggggg y’all hurry up and buy!

The food is good the only problem I had is the collard greens needs to cook a little more and I don’t recommend the oxtails being put on top of the seafood rice, the mac n cheese is good and the turkey wings don’t be having meat on the bone you should give 2 turkey wings instead of 1 big piece with no meat on it. Other then that the food is is full of flavor and its good
