I feel bad leaving a not good review for any business. But in all honesty, we are pretty shocked at what we got at this place, considering how good the reviews are. We went for lunch, to try it out. We were about ready to walk when the waitress finally showed up. The girl at the door came and brought us water after we had sat there for at least 15 minutes without ANY acknowledgement of our existence. Another table got their bill etc, with a waitress going to their table at least twice while we sat there. She never looked at us. A simple…someone will be with you, would have been appreciated. After another 5 minutes or so the waitress showed up. Again, she was a great waitress….once she got there. The place was evidently understaffed. The food was mediocre. We won’t go back….a very underwhelming experience.

Social Oak is a genuinely nice, well-priced whiskey and cocktail bar with a unique menu and amazing entrees. You come for the good drinks and great vibes, and you come back for the food, service, and drinks all over again. Big applause to Graysen and his team for making it such a great experience

I have gone to Oak Barrel multiple times, same with my husband and friends. We went the Saturday before Christmas and it was the busiest we’ve ever seen it, which was awesome! Atmosphere was good and welcoming, our server was nice but a bit absent-minded and had to come to our table multiple times to check that the order was correct. My drink was incredibly expensive with only two ingredients- versus some of their speciality cocktails had tons of things and were cheaper…bit odd but okay. Our (four of us) biggest issue was the food itself. The bruschetta was amazing and the meatballs were decent. My salmon was fine and friends’ steaks met with their approval. My husband’s steak, not so much. He asked for a rare to medium-rare steak – we got a medium to almost well done steak. He told our waitress and she said if he wanted they could redo it, but he was the last served. So he told her no, he didn’t want to make the kitchen have to redo it (with how busy the night was) and make the rest of the table wait.
Not entirely sure we will be back unfortunately.

Service Dog Friendly, very great atmosphere with pleasant blues type music. I was seated right away and the service was excellent. Captain’s rum with a view drink tasted great. I also ordered the Shrimp Linguini Scampi: Spanish Style Scampi with Green Onions and Crushed Red Pepper and it was the best I have ever tasted. Then to finish off got the chocolate cake. Highly recommend this place!

I haven’t been here in years because my last experience was bad, but friends with a dog want to go since dogs are allowed. This restaurant is divided into two sides, the lounge and the dining room, which are separated by the kitchen.

There were seven of us and we sat in the lounge area and ordered dinner. I have to say that all seven of us were extremely disappointed in our meals. I ordered the salmon, stuffed mushrooms and a cup of clam chowder. The salmon was dry and had zero flavor and no presentation when delivered. It was literally a white plate with the fish and a little sauce. Oh, and some onion and carrot shaving. No mashed potatoes, no veggies, just a small slab of fish. The stuffed mushrooms were undercooked and also lacked seasoning and flavor. The clam chowder wasn’t any better. My wife ordered two tacos at $2.50 each, although the bill had one at $3.00. They were served on cheap store bought stale shells. The meat was horrible and there were hardly any toppings. Her chicken tortilla soup was a complete joke. It was a watered down broth, a couple of tomatoes and next to no chicken.

I could go through everyone else’s meal, but I think I’ve made my point. I don’t like giving bad reviews on a restaurant, but I’m hoping the management will see this and make some needed changes before they run themselves out of business. The only positive thing was our waitress. Our group will never return.

What a pleasant surprise! I stopped in at the Oak Barrel late afternoon. It was a cool oasis on a hot day. I tried their Paloma which was made with some fresh mint. It was delicious! Their Salmon Ciabatta Sandwich was also very tasty. The sandwich had a generous portion of nicely cooked salmon that was perfectly seasoned. I chose a side of fries that were also delicious. Anthony recommended the Guinness Chocolate Cake for dessert. The cake was not overly sweet and was served with vanilla ice cream. I couldn’t have asked for better service. Anthony took great care of me – he checked back with me to ensure I was enjoying everything. Kudos to the Oak Barrel of Eagle for a great experience!

We planned on eating at the restaurant not knowing there was a lounge and we walk up and enter what we thought was the restaurant.. we sat down & it felt off because there’s people playing pool, and no one waited on us for 4 minutes so we walked out.. finally, we saw the sign with an arrow pointing towards the restaurant. The look of the place is like a restaurant from 2006. My in law had a long hair in her salad. Ew! The portions were okay but could’ve been a little more.

It was our first time dining at Oak Barrel on Saturday evening. We had no reservation, and surprisingly when we arrived there were no people inside the restaurant on Saturday at 7:30 pm, but there were several people dined at the patio.
The food was ok: fish and iron steak. Prices were reasonable (under $30 each). Easy parking

My hubby and I went to Oak Barrel for our first time. We got there at 5:00 pm on a Friday night and the place was empty. One side of the Oak Barrel was a huge bar and pool tables, the other a dining room. As we entered. we saw the bar and pool tables first and started to leave. Then I saw writing on the wall stating the restaurant down the hall. We decided to try the restaurant out. We stated off with their clam chowder. It was fabulous and filling. My hubby ordered lamb chops. He said they were just okay. I ordered the chicken. One piece was a thin breast that was hard to chew. The other a thigh without any favor. I gave a piece to my hubby, and he just left it. However, the presentation was pretty, but the food was a disappointment. We both ordered garlic mashed potatoes. They were served with a huge chuck of butter in the middle. The potatoes were like a paste with no taste of garlic. We left the potatoes too.
Im sure others love this restaurant, but it wasn’t to our liking. This restaurant just isn’t our style. I’m pretty sure we won’t be coming back.
