This was my first visit and can honestly say it was a pretty good meal.
Chicken curry was very spicy and flavoured with soft chicken pieces. Not a fan of pea’s in a curry but that didn’t spoil it.
The fried rice in my opinion was a little over done however still tasty and edible.
The salt and pepper chips had quite a spicy kick and cooked very well.
I will make a return visit when my go to Chinese is closed for its holiday period.

Best chinese takeaway by far in the northeast. Lovely staff too! We’ve moved to the other side of Durham but still make the journey through when we can. We’ll worth it, just for the special curry!!

Unfortunately I have to mark the food down this time. I’ve enjoyed most of the ginger and spring onion combos as well as the stuffed crab claws had in the past 2 years but my husband , who is Malaysian, and our son were very disappointed with the dishes they chose for their first try of the food on offer. First, chicken satay was not the Malay version. It was chicken in a heavy sauce with veggies that had a slight flavour of peanuts. The sauce was not unlike the one used for the stir fry pork with garlic that my husband ordered (not stir fry as we are used to). So all round, not what we as Malaysian/ Brits are used to. It was underwhelming as the sauces seemed too similar for three different dishes.

The best Chinese in the area. I have moved out of the village and still come here. They do great vegetarian choices, I always get the tofu in black bean sauce. Always amazing taste and good quality for money. The staff are very nice.

Really bad chicken/prawn and cashew nut. The chicken tasted fake, rubbery and not like proper chicken. It didn’t taste like meat. Unusual flavour too. Disappointing as I usually like the food from here. The chicken has just put me off massively!

Have tried quite a few dishes off the menu, and is always delicious. Food is not filled with onion and veg, like others, but has plenty of meat in the portions. Meals are a good size, and very well priced. Staff are always freindly and happy. No delivery service, but this means they can concentrate on cooking fab meals.!

The worst crispy duck ever – no skin so how could it be crispy and tasteless shredded meat. I am pretty sure the meat would have been bought in pre cooked. Horrible and expensive
