My son & I went to the Mirkwood for a local show all ages. He had a burger & hes picky but ate it in like 3 seconds said it was delicious.
Its great for small shows. Theres a tattoo shop & some cool unique art on walls. I sat in a rocking chair & enjoyed. 1 down side was I was a bit cold. Staff was nice. Music great venue. Food A+.

Okay, this is a hard one to write. It’s a live music bar, and we didn’t know that when we arrived. We came for dinner, and felt like maybe we had made a mistake. But then the food completely kicked ass. So there. Fine dining? No. Great food? Yes. And I’m guessing good music when you’re actually smart enough to check.

This place was absolutely amazing. As a musician that played here with my band The Sooner The Better, the experience was surreal. The venue is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the food is INCREDIBLE. The sound guy was also very sweet and did a great job with our band. Hope to play here again very soon!!!

Food- fish and chips- 1st time here (maybe 6 weeks ago) was A++. Fresh fish, real batter, served on a flight with hand-cut fries, homemade slaw, homemade tartar, and lemon. Last night- saw my plate dying in the window for 5+ minutes. They could have left it there. Chipped plate. Fries- greasy and over-fried, but soft. Fish- mass-produced polygon- not fresh, not tasty, not worth the calories. Greasy. Mass of coleslaw, no lemon. Here in lies the rub: you just lost a (food-eating) customer because CONSISTENCY MATTERS. Service- don’t expect it, just go with the flow. The staff is friendly; this in not a complaint against the bartender. Atmosphere- MFer is COLD.

This place is always a good time!! We had a blast ringing in the new year here. They did a good job of putting on such a big event. Dinner, dancing, live music!!! We had a BLAST. Thanks Mirkwood!

Saw Red Karma there, so good!
Food was great, the sound system was good but pretty loud, it could’ve been turned down a smidge.

Rating 5/5 because I was pleasantly surprised. We stopped through on our way back from Darrington. I was surprised to see reasonable vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and many salads to choose from. The nachos looked great and my burger and salad was delicious. Great little spot for sure, I’d love to come back for a concert!

Wish they had more staff. But the staff they do have is amazing, and the menu is good. Their cocktails are really good too. The atmosphere is kinda old-school English wizard, and the people that hang there are welcoming and fun.
