Both chicken dishes were $38 each, and what we received was shockingly disappointing. The meat was extremely dry, to the point that even the thigh , typically the juiciest and most forgiving cut , was dry and stringy. The breast was overcooked and lacked any tenderness or flavor. There was no moisture, no richness, no depth , just dry poultry.
At $38 per plate, you expect restaurant-level precision and quality. Instead, it tasted like overcooked chicken you’d get from a rushed home kitchen. For a restaurant that positions itself as high-end, this was unacceptable.
Great ambiance, but the food, at least the chicken, did not justify the price. Very disappointing experience.
When even a child says it’s the best pizza and chocolate dessert, you know it’s special.
I personally loved the Miki salad with raw tuna, absolutely fantastic!
Highly recommended. This is truly a place where the joy of food is born.
The part that unfortunately brought the experience down was our server, Ginna P. She was hands-down one of the most disconnected and uninterested servers I’ve ever had. From the moment she greeted us, she seemed annoyed, lifeless, and honestly like she didn’t want to be there. After taking our order, she never came back to the table, not once. No check-ins, no refills, nothing. We literally had to figure out how to pay on our own because she disappeared completely.
What makes it worse is that they automatically add an 18% tip, which basically guarantees the servers get paid no matter the level of service they give. And with service like this, it feels frustrating to be forced to tip someone who didn’t do their job at all. It really took away from what was otherwise a great first visit.
Overall, the food and atmosphere were amazing, and I actually would come back, just not if Ginna P is the server again. She completely ruined the service side of the experience, which is really disappointing given how good everything else was.
The team is friendly and attentive and the table settings feel warm and charming.
You can tell that every detail of the service is thoughtfully put together.
My server, Paola H., was especially friendly.
The food is delicious and made with soul, and the coffee is excellent.
The only downside, especially for a restaurant of this level, is that they use paper napkins instead of real cloth ones.
The food itself was pretty good, chefs did a good job. I just wish I got more bang for my buck and didn’t leave hungry.
Quick note: mandatory 18% service charge (no matter party size)
This upscale dining experience was surprisingly affordable, coming in around $100 for two mains, two coffees and an appetizer.
