This is for the one in Springfield, not sure why it isn’t popping up on Google maps. Straight up, maybe the best fried catfish I’ve had, super fresh and awesome breading. Loved the fries and the bbq sauce was hitting. Love to get back and try some more soul food!

this was at beergarden!

i had the catfish and shrimp basket with spicy breading as well as some fried pickles.

the spicy breading on the catfish was quite crispy and delicious!! their tartar sauce is on the sweeter side, which i liked very much. shrimps were thick and juicy and tasty. fries were alright.

curiosity drove me to order the fried pickles. they were good, definitely worth trying. they’d probably be better paired with something else not comprised entirely of fried breaded things.

overall a really yummy, enjoyable meal.

The food is great, can’t lie! But man the girl in the pink beanie working 2/5 @ 6pm has the literal WORST customer service. If you hate people, why worst in the food industry?? We all ordered our food to go, like we usually so here, and you brought it over not in to go.. you’re busy, no problem AT ALL, but when we ask for the to go stuff to just do it ourselves ro help out, she says “come get it, I’m busy”. OKAY, tell me you no longer want our money without telling us you don’t want our money.

Asked for extra cheese, paid for it, sand dry sandwich delivered with what I imagine normal cheese. Won’t be back. Plenty of other options. Once famous is probably an accurate name. Also the wait with no one in front of me was probably an indication. The wait for a sandwich with no line was 15 minutes.

Springfield location was not good at all. There was barely any meat and no provolone in the Philly cheese steak. Not worth $14 in the slightest. Looked like a child made it.

Im in no way a picky eater at all but this was a major letdown. The potato salad, priced at $4, was nothing more than pre-packaged disappointment. The burger patty felt like it had just been pulled from the freezer, resulting in an unappetizing meal. The only redeeming factor was the fries, which were decent. Overall, I spent $18 for a meal that left a lot to be desired. I won’t be returning.

We have only experienced this food truck once, but from the one experience I honestly don’t have anything negative to say. We ordered the Philly cheese steak basket (with no cream cheese, husband doesn’t like it) with waffle fries. After a few bites of the Philly, we both agreed that the it need some sort of a spread to tie it all together and even my husband agreed with me that the cream cheese spread would have been the icing on the cake. Luckily, the meat, peppers and cheese were still juicy enough that the sandwich wasn’t dry, and it had some good flavor to it, not bland. The waffle fries were really good as well, they reminded both of us of Arby’s curly fries, except waffle form. I believe we paid $13-14 for the meal, which isn’t bad. We would recommend try this place out and will be eating here again. And if not trying this place out, the Beer Garden in general is a great place to go for food with their multiple food truck options. Don’t worry about the cold as they have it nicely insulated and heaters on, making it a comfortable stay if you decide to eat there.

As a long time fan of Once Famous. I heard about their new location in Springfield. I ordered the cajun catfish basket. The filets looked like they had been dropped and were in small, broken pieces. The fish was raw and the fries were salted to the point of rancidity. Its like the young lady working there had no training whatsoever.

Ordered shoestring fries- got shitty frozen fries that were not shoestring fries in any way. Not to mention my Philly had just about zero cheese or veggies and the meat was hard and overcooked, with zero flavor. Extremely let down. I will not eat here again.
