Yesterday we visited Dosa Hutt on Hillside, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We ordered masala dosa, chole puri, vada, and idli, and every single item was absolutely amazing. The food was simple, authentic, and delicious, with great flavors that truly hit the spot.
What made it even better was how much my nieces enjoyed the food—they loved it! The service was incredibly fast, and the staff was very efficient and welcoming. On top of that, the prices were very affordable, which makes it an even better choice for families.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving tasty South Indian food with great service and value. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We also enjoyed a delicious dosa and a perfectly made masala chai, which was especially comforting on a cold day. The service is friendly, welcoming, and truly guest-centric, making the whole experience even better.
The restaurant is clean, inviting, and consistently serves delicious food. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic South Indian flavors and a warm, pleasant dining experience in Queens!
The menu is full of delicious items. No fills about the interior. Quick turnover with people coming in, eating, paying and the staff cleaning the tables for the next customers.
10/10
We ordered both the pani puri and Dahi Batata puri with the latter we learned was served with yogurt as opposed to pani (which is water). We all liked the pani puri one more we ended up ordering another one after our dosas came!
When it comes to dosas we usually order Mysore Masala Dosa because we love spicy, but to change things up a bit I ordered the rava mysore masala dosa – which is essentially the same thing BUT the batter is different. The rava is a bit crispier and I prefer it the regular dosa! We also ordered the paper dosa which came out being served on their tiny paper tray and being the entire length of the table!! Everything was so good and we ate everything in minutes.
We ended the meal with some masala tea which we were able to order without any sugar! All in all, an amazing spot for dosas and we will be back again soon!
The overall dining experience was spoiled by the stale, lifeless quality of the food. What should have been a flavorful and enjoyable meal was instead lackluster and unappetizing. I can’t help but feel that the kitchen staff either didn’t care or simply wasn’t paying attention to the quality of what was being served.
