At DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks, we still make our hand-tossed dough at least twice a day, every day. We make our sauce daily from scratch and we hand-cut all of our fresh vegetables. Then we top it off with fresh, quality meats & cheeses. It’s the little details that make the difference between something you like and something that you call a favorite. My friends and I loved Double Dave’s pizza rolls in college. Pretty sure that’s how I gained part of my freshman 15.
The DD on Westheimer is special because through the years my college friends have continued to meet here, for the nostalgia and to bring back fun memories!
Yesterday Carlos went above and beyond to make sure the TV was on the Kentucky Derby for my mom and I, and we enjoyed the chicken enchilada pizza of the month! Although I’m more of a pepperoni fan, it was fun to try something new especially being so close to Cinco de Mayo. Kudos to all who work at this location. You all are kind and gracious and make delicious pizza. God bless you and thank you for serving us so well yesterday!

I honestly don’t understand why this place has 4 stars. The place was empty, but we decided to try it anyway. The workers were really nice. We got a pepperoni and Margherita pizza and it was not good. Nothing special about it. To top it off I saw a house roach close to the drink area. There’s definitely other places with better pizza.

The lunch buffet was freshly stocked and everything was hot perfectly crispy and flavorful. Having the freshest of the salad bar helps not feeling guilty after several trips back for more.

Coming in for the first time The place looks more like a sports bar with weird booths that are angled up so your body may be a bit uncomfortable.
The customer service is lacking, we didn’t have a person at the register for about 10-15 seconds. No greeting, or welcome. She just asked what we wanted and seemed a bit impatient. Sorry our business makes you upset?
As for food, it was quite good, we had the monthly special with the Queso Blanco Chicken Pizza, it’s a medium pizza for $10. Not bad at all usually the medium is $14.99 I believe.
It comes with chicken, queso sauce, tomatoes, and cilantro. The blend is perfection and tastes like a nacho pizza almost. I don’t know what queso they use but I fell in love with it. The crust is nice and soft with a crunch at the end.
I probably wouldn’t dine in again but might visit monthly just to try the special pizza.

I keep going back. Plus ➕️ they have their own delivery which I have used several times. But in the end it’s about their great Pizza .

The salad bar is real nice. Our pizza came out very quick. The $12.59 pepperoni didn’t have much cheese on it. Comparable to Little Caesar’s. But the $2.99 one-trip salad was a good deal. Friendly service, pizza brought to the table, asked if we need a to-go box, too. Pizza tasted good,but the crust has a faint sweet taste that we don’t care for.

At this moment, after having gorged myself on the buffet, I really hate this place. The pizza was entirely too delicious and I couldn’t stop eating. I’m absolutely miserable right now, yet am still tempted by another trip to the buffet. Maybe I’ve been eating at Cici’s too often but this is the best pizza buffet I’ve had in years. It’s on the small side but the variety is good and the pizza rolls are downright dangerous. As of right now I’m swearing this place off, but I’ll probably be back as soon as I recover and get hungry again.
