Our family visited Glen Rose because the kids were eager to check out the Dinosaur Park, and of course, they were craving pizza. After some searching, we stumbled upon La Vita Pizzeria. The place itself has some charm—an old Coke factory with a bit of history behind it, which gave it character.

We placed our order and were served some rolls to start. We were hungry and couldn’t wait to dive into the meal. However, our youngest noticed something in the bread and asked us to take it off. Upon closer inspection, we were horrified to find a fly baked right into the roll.
We immediately called the waitress over and showed her. She took the bread back to the kitchen, and about 10 minutes later, she brought us a fresh batch. At that point, we were ready to walk out, but the kids were still really excited for their pizza and they were hungry, so we decided to stay.

Sadly, the food didn’t get any better. My wife ordered the shrimp Florentine , but what arrived looked more like tomato soup with some pasta and shrimp floating in it. As for the Stromboli I ordered, it was bland and lacked flavor, with barely any sausage inside.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of other spots to try in Glen Rose.

Pop in for a quick dinner after a long drive to Glen Rose. Saw this placed as we were driving around town to get something to eat. Expectations were low to be honest, we were just hungry. BUT boy were we wrong, bread rolls were amazingly good. We ordered pizzas for the table, not sure what they do with their pizza, man it was good!!!
Don’t judge this book by its cover, really good flavored food. We were pleasantly surprised.

Go to Italian when I visit Glen Rose. Food is always great. Had Chicken Marsala- excellent. Service staff very friendly- but overwhelmed. Had to finish my meal without having my tea filled. Cool historical place. Old coca coca bottling plant. Try it out- highly recommend!

We had our first visit to this cute little restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the prices were as well. My only complaint was that they only give one free basket of bread. But other than that, top notch!

Dinner 530 PM on a Saturday night. Server responded she did not know if Eggplant Parmesan was fresh or frozen. So we passed. I got Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti. Chicken Parmesan was previously frozen, served on a cold plate. The Marinara tasted like canned Tomato puree. So no flavor. The bread looked like frozen croissant and was dough like and not fully baked. Our server a young girl with black hair and glasses spent all her time in the kitchen and not up front. We had to yell for her twice to come to the table. While this restaurant may be family owned, it is not good on too many issues. I would avoid it.

Had to wait a few minutes (10) to get a water. I wanted spaghetti and meat sauce with meatballs but they were out of meat sauce and meat balls. My beautiful wife wanted manicotti and they were out of that. The marinara sauce was pretty bland. We were going to finish with dessert of tiramisu and guess what ? Yep they were out. Come on LA Vita its a Saturday night at 7:30 pm could have planned better for the weekend.

Don’t expect too much and you’ll be fine…, rolls and food is edible but mediocre. Save your money and head to Pasta Fina on 144 in Granbury. Same price and you get a salad too!!

Kids in Glen Rose are very inexperienced as servers! Not a fan!

Sorry!

The waitress is incompetent, I asked for white sauce for the seafood combo, the waitress didn’t even write it down after assuring me that substitutions were allowed. After bringing this to her attention, she says “oops, I didn’t write it down” instead of trying to rectify her mistake. She wouldn’t bring a manager over, wouldn’t allow refunds even as I was THROWING UP OUTSIDE OF THE STORE

Small local pizza joint offered a great selection if Italian dishes. The Chicken Parmigiano Diablo style was SO good ! Just the right amount of spice! Their hot buttered rolls were delicious! The pizza was FULL of toppings – no skimping here! Old country music was strange in an Italian restaurant but actually perfect for a Texas local Hotspot! The building itself has a long town history. Our server, Stevie!! She was fantastic! Patient, kind, attentive but not pushy. She just let us talk, + talk, + eat, + eat. A perfect experience! I’ll be eating here a LOT, I think. OH!! And the Canolis!! Y.U.M.M.Y!! 5⭐️
