It’s a great location since it offers southern dishes on campus for college students. The two ladies working on 4/26/25 set a most welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We were promised a 10 minute wait and our food was served timely. Great service! It was around 7:45pm on a Saturday, and we were 1 of 2 customers in the restaurant. It wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing, but it was clean. The fish & wings were on point! The green tomatoes were okay- the breading was thick. I wasn’t a fan of the fries, so I would opt for another side choice next time. I’d return! ☺️

The food was good, but pricey. The cook got our order wrong but he was very nice about fixing it. This diner needs a bit of upkeep but I see the vibes they are striving for. This is a nice little place to dip in for some soul food, better than average for Kalamazoo area

A great local small Black owned business who had an amazing owner who also served amazing foods! The catfish nuggets, the red beans, and rice and chili cheese fries were my favorites ✨️. All food was well seasoned with a Cajun base and served with kindness. We will be back and would love to try some more of these masterpieces. Let’s make sure we continue support local Black businesses!

Online order wasn’t even started by time I got there in 20 minutes. Said they didn’t see it “my bad”. Also had an order from Que Buenos next door. It was sitting there waiting on me when I walked over. Came back and waited another 20 for my wing hut order. Then they didn’t even have my completed order. Said he couldn’t refund me, but just threw some other stuff in another container to try and cover it. The fries were old, and the chicken was rushed. A little burnt on the outside, while being undercooked on the inside. They must already have plans to close up shop.

Great home feeling great service nice prices heard about it from my barber so I had to come an try an let me tell u the way the building smell they should charge naw but the 10 wings fries an red beans an rice red velvet cheesecake is what I got for tonight dinner an they sell kool aid oh yeah an they have plenty of options from dry rubs to wet definitely goes above an beyond most restaurants
