Small Afghani restaurant located in the small business plaza across from St.Louis’ Catholic Church in Clarksville.
Parking is easily available.
They are primarily set up for
counter-service, halal prepared with down-home Afghan selections plus lunch specials. There are a few tables for indoor dining & some outdoor seating.
The scent of delicious food hits you as you enter the establishment. The lamb gyro was generously filled with tender lamb and beef slices with fresh chunks of Feta cheese, veggies and flavorful Tzatziki sauce.
The location can be easily missed from the highway but I would gladly return to try out other selections.
Then quickly via this AMAZING machine that I’ve only seen being used in Japan at the moment, brought our food to us. It was really cool! You’ll probably end up taking a picture because we took many to! We started with naan and eggplant ant hummas- omg. AMAZING. I was a little less skeptical. Next was our meals, a beef and chicken meal with basmati rice and with salad and a pizza calzone (what is also super great and salad. if you go there and your child just doesn’t want kabobs or worried about starting something new, they have an “American Menu”, calzones, chicken tenders, fries, etc). So there is something for everyone.
The food was definitely different tasting. But different doesn’t mean bad. In this case, It was EXCELLENT.. We looked like animated characters in movies that just dump their plates into their mouths lolll.
At the end, as I was eyeing at the dessert wistfully but walked away before I spent more money on food; we asked for the check. She was so kind and gave me a rice pudding when she brought the check! Extremely kind.
Although it could use a little glam up, it serves its purpose and is comfy enough to eat in! No complaints if I sat at any table.
The reason I gave it a 4 is because the portion was a little too small for me (but my saying it was small that is subjective), it’s a little more expensive than other kabob restaurants and other take out restauraunts the atmosphere could’ve also been nicer. NOTHING to do with the food and customer service though. If you want something fast and delicious and it’s close to you, definitely go here. Just expect that it is just a little pricy (I would say $$ if we did the $$$$ scale things.
The chicken tenders are surprisingly amazing too, which makes it a great place whether you want traditional kabobs or something more simple. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. This is our favorite local restaurant in the Baltimore area, and we plan to come here every time we can. Highly recommend!
