The food here is fantastic! Most times we go, the server seems to forget about us at the end with bringing the bill but that’s small stuff! Everyone is friendly, the work done restoring/redecorating is beautiful and the menu is out of the world. The cheese curds are a MUST!

Had lunch there twice. both times were very different. First time, bison burger was spot on and drinks came before lunch, service was great. Second time, fish and chips were so so, service was lacking, ordered a beer that never came. Will go back, the atmosphere was great both times.

Great all around. I highly recommend the bison burger. It’s juicy and flavorful. I had it with hatch green chilies and would definitely do it again. Fries were bomb, a thick steak-cut style. Chicken and waffles looked great from across the table as did the chicken fried chicken with white gravy.

I can only really speak for the restaurant portion, as we did not partake in the bar side for cocktails. We went just after the main lunch rush hours on a weekend, walked in and helped ourselves to a table as no staff could be seen. We sat for about 10 minutes before our waitress came to us.

*The Good*
The food was really delicious. The beans and fries were well-seasoned and just special enough to set themselves apart from your typical experience. The fish filet sandwich was also well-seasoned and a large portion. Unfortunately the ribs were unavailable (being smoked at the time) but the brisket had a good crust and the ring you would want to see. The prices were reasonable for what we got, we thought. My only minor complaint on food was the coleslaw was a little underseasoned and the brisket was cooked just a little longer than a personally prefer… but still, really good to eat.

*The Bad*
The only reason this is a 4-star review is because the restaurant did not appear to have enough staff. Our waitress was the only person taking orders, running food (with one exception where she got kitchen staff to help), bussing tables… for three entirely different sections of the restaurant (including outside). We are pretty sure her name was Jill and she absolutely killed it, but kept apologizing for the slow service and long waits. We skipped refills and minor corrections on food (like a missing bread roll) because we only saw her for the order and the check at the end.

We would love to come back and try another day, as several of the menu options sounded worth a shot. We would recommend this place to any folks passing through.

We stopped in here to try the burger that they say is the best in the county. They had live music going, the bar has plenty of seats, and this is a very fun-feeling place overall. You could tell this is a regulars hub, which is always a good thing. The pool table in the back is still close to the action so you don’t feel separated from everyone. Elijah was great behind the bar, and had the perfect personality for this type of bar. As far as the burger, I was underwhelmed. We sat down at 745pm with the kitchen being open until 8. We heard the cook say to the bartender that he wanted to close a few minutes early. Elijah told him he had about 5-6 orders coming right now (including ours). Perhaps I caught a bad burger night, but I feel like it didn’t get the love it deserved. For me, the place was a 5 for being a fun, local bar, but the food gets a 3. 4 overall.

Came in early evening for dinner with a toddler, the owner quickly got us some animal crackers and chatted with a us a bit. Waitress recommended the fat girl fries and they did not disappoint. The Rancher Burger also looked great. Loved the decor and hospitality!

Wow! The best fries I think I have ever eaten! The flavor, texture, and temperature were absolutely perfect! Not only that, all the ingredients on “Fat Girl Fries” were delicious, fresh, and flavorful! Also, my husband had the rubber sandwich, and it was equally delicious with high end meat!

Great ambiance and really good food and friendly staff. The pretzel with beer cheese sauce was maybe the best I’ve ever had.

Original restaurant side is currently closed for remodeling (into a coffee shop), but the bar side is still open for food. My wife and been craving their pulled pork since our last visit several years ago, and it was still great. My son’s chicken tenders were also pretty exceptional. Will absolutely come back whenever we’re in the area!
