My wife liked her french dip. My stomach was a bit queasy so I ordered soup and mac and cheese w grilled chicken. I like my food hot and it came out barely warm. When I asked the waitress to heat she brought it back and out hot quickly. There was a ton of mac n cheese. It was fair. The soup was definitely premade and was meh. I wouldn’t go back if we were in the area again.

We were seated right away. Food was great, like always. We both got burgers, only to find out after the meal that it was 50% off burgers. I’ll take that any day.
That staff was all very friendly and the atmosphere was fine. They had a bunch of TVs playing epic fail type videos and also sports. The one comment I would make is that several of the young servers were wearing bright color spandex shorts, felt kinda like we were at a Hooters.
Overall I’ll be back again.

1/11/26 First time visit. Nice atmosphere. We were seated quickly. I ordered a margarita. My husband a tall beer on tap. I’m guessing the margarita was maybe 4-6oz without the ice. Unable to detect any tequila 🙁 My husband’s tall beer was served in a 32oz plastic cup…needless to say..warm by the time he finished it. We weren’t offered the option of a frosty mug. The table next to us got one so I’m assuming you have to request them.
Ordered onion rings for an appetizer—arrived barely warm (they’d clearly been under a lamp) and definitely not fresh. Had the BBQ chicken pizza. It was ok.
Our bill was $60…..not complaining about the price. Having said that though, good food and drinks were expected.
Management—ladies bathroom has an odd sewer smell that needs investigation.

A friend of my mine treated me to a “Birthday-Related” Lunch this past Sunday, February 22nd. Needless to say, it was awful. The hostess & server were very un-attentive. The hostess is busy standing there in her pink top look pretty flirting with Mahomes-style shaved sides haircut Bar-Back Server and our young server disappeared into the back for the long periods at a time. Our food came out all cold and it was 25 minutes before our teenage server came back to us to ask for refills. The Bloody Mary had only a tiny splash of liquor. Also, The Coors beer was flat. Another friend asked for Lemon in his water and got only a Lemon Peel served with it. Beforehand, We asked the hostess for the Manager and she disappeared for at least 20 minutes herself. We even requested to change the TVs in front of us to the OKC Thunder Game from the Women’s College Basketball Games and that was hard for them to do. It took a half-hour for them to do that. My friends had to tell another Server that hand soap was out in their Restrooms. It was an hour-long waste of time. Johnny’s Sunday staff has zero sense of urgency and needs a ton of re-training in food service & hospitality management. I understand this is sports bar designed for a local hangout for nearby residents and those making pit stop off Interstate 435 & Hwy 9; however it’s not worth going back. We ended up taking our burgers to-go and my friend gave his burger to his dog. I felt bad he paid for me. Honestly, the building would thrive better if a chain like Buffalo Wild Wings took it over. I gave everything a “one star” just for them at least pretending to care about their customers. City of Parkville & State Food Safety & Health Departments NEED to inspect this establishment MORE if it is going to remain a so-called “Tavern” for foreseeable future.

I recently visited Johnny’s Tavern in Parkville and tried a variety of dishes. The Nuke LaLoosh pizza was flavorful and well-balanced, with just the right amount of toppings. The steak salad was fresh, hearty, and perfectly cooked, while the Johnny Wilson burger (served without a bun) was a satisfying choice for a lighter option. The Field House salad as a side was a great complement, with crisp greens and a nice mix of toppings. Johnny’s Tavern delivered a solid dining experience with great food and variety.

Well, back to Char Bar soon. Johnny’s is not what it used to be or can be. The food was decent, and came out quickly. My daughter’s fish and chips and hush puppies were great. I almost got the grilled buffalo wrap and wished I had. But instead had the fried Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Which was OK, not great. But in their defense, I rarely eat fried stuff. The service however, was a deal breaker for me. Our server walked past our table over 4 times as we sat there waiting for the bill, obviously done eating, napkins on plates, waters empty. After 15 minutes of this I went over to the hostess and asked her if someone could bring our bill. A different waitress came over right away. I guess the first girl was taking an extended break or had simply abandoned us. For a Thursday evening, the place was empty. If they don’t improve, I see them closing within 6 months. We just lost BOHO up here, a great local brewery. Come on Johnny’s, you can do much better.

It’s decent food. Unfortunately a couple highlights for this location kind of drive me to other establishments. I am obsessed with the burger Thurs special. This location unlike others forces you to buy a soft drink even if you order water significantly driving the price up. So I stick to lunch at the Shawnee location where it’s actually a good value. I do a lot of carry out most of the time and the online ordering platform forces you to leave a tip even though you are ringing yourself up and walking in to grab your own food. Gratuity in this type of scenario is a far fetched ask let alone demand. Small details that typically leads me into other sports bars when considering a meal at Johnnys Parkville.

Went tonight with a large party, very large. 20+.
We had an excellent waitress and our food was out in a timely manner. They had gluten free pizza that was actually good and the appetizer dip was 10/10.

joined a group after baseball @ Creekside. Johnny’s staff was extremely accommodating for a larger group and the servers handled it all very well. typically it becomes chaotic when players/ parents are separated for team lunches, but the staff was terrific! food was great! restaurant was clean and well run! thank you
