The place is clean and inviting, the idea is great, and the wait staff are friendly and helpful. The sandwich was.. okay. Not good, not bad. Whatever. The soup was a mixed bag- some of the people I went with enjoyed it, some did not (we all got different things). The pie was uninspired and very much tasted like it came out of a box. I want these small business owners to succeed- opening a restaurant takes a huge amount of risk and trying to make your idea a reality is incredibly difficult. I want so much for them to be a hit because they seem like good people trying their best to serve their community and make some money while doing it- nothing at all wrong with that! But if you’re going to name yourself Soup & Pie, you need to be *amazing* at those two things. My best advice would be to look at making your own pies- even if it means a little higher prices and less selection- and do a better job of presenting your pies. Having them all precut in little to go containers diminishes them. I would suggest getting some of those glass pie plates with the big covers- when someone orders a slice of pie you whip the top off, cut that pie, and serve it on a clean white plate. Presentation matters! I hope these folks find their feet because something like this is needed in that area. Best of luck!!

One of the best soup place around this area! So happy finding this amazing new hidden gem!
They serve different soups every day. Will come back tomorrow for another soup the chief recommends!
Look at the pictures I took with full of good ingredients. It is so addictive good food, rich ingredients and good favor.

We have noticed this new place and finally stopped in. It’s a nice small, local restaurant serving sandwiches, soups, and pies.

We started with soup samples, most of which tasted very good. We ordered some sandwiches, soups, and pies. The sandwiches were “toasted”, but could have used more time cooking. The flavor left a bit to be desired. We enjoyed some soups including cream of mushroom, chicken and dumplings, and bacon potatoe. We finshed out meal with chocolate cream and key lime pie. Of the two, i would recommend the key lime.

Service was great. They are kind and helpful. Spent a little time talking with the owner.

Plan to return to try more.

A cute mom and pop shop that we saw along our way home. My husband and I got sandwiches and a soup. He had a club and the bacon was perfect crispiness paired with a nice homey beef stew. I have the Nuco and can totally tell they have fresh ingredients. Then there was the sweet pies. Coconut pie was super fluffy and the Derby pie rich with flavor so I only needed a small slice to hit the spot. Their soups seem to change in rotation so I’d like to come back to try the others. Plus the gentleman who helped serve us gave us samples and was super friendly. It is worth coming around again to see what other pies and soups I can try.Cheers!

So many options! The variety in the menu is awesome, and I am excited to try each soup. It rotates, so not every soup they make is available every day, but they still had 6 options!!
The ownership is super friendly and let us sample soup before ordering a serving.
The sandwhiches are huge and the pie was the bomb. The variety in pie was a difficult one too because I wanted to try all of them! They even had a vegan berry pie which was phenomenal even cold.
I can’t wait to come back and try more stuff!

Small, family owned place that delivers excellent soup, sandwiches, and pies. They rotate different in house made soups and pies weekly. They happily let you sample as many soups as you want to make sure you get the one you love. They make the sandwiches on soft, fresh bread and make sure it is made exactly how you’d like it. We will be back there!

The food here is truly fantastic… especially the soup and pie! [Obvious] No complaints there!

What holds this place back is the strong smoke smell. It hits you right when you walk in and lingers throughout the meal. It really affects the overall dining experience, especially the way the food tastes and smells.

Also, the merch (like the shirts) feels unnecessary. Probably not the best use of resources.

I’d love to see them move to a cleaner, more inviting location. I think they’d really thrive in a different space!

I wanted to like this place so badly. The prices seemed okay, the menu items seemed like things I liked.
We ordered for pick up, got our food, and suddenly the prices seemed unreasonable.

We started with our soup. I got potato leek and my mom got chicken tortilla. Both soups were incredibly salty and watery. The chicken tortilla had one small piece and chicken and no tortilla chips. It was basically a vegetable soup. The potato leek was heavy on the oil and had very little potato.

Then the pie, at $7/slice, we expected larger slices or amazing flavor. That missed the mark.
I was still ready to just accept that maybe it wasn’t for us and it wasn’t our favorite, but it wasn’t BAD.

Then.. I got deeper into my strawberry rhubarb pie and found a hair deeply embedded in the crust and mix. Trying to attach a picture but it’s not letting me. I’m unsure if it’s human or pet, but unnerving and unpleasant nonetheless.

Try it if you’d like, but for me, it was not worth it and I will not be eating from there again.

Got a handful of pies there:
Derby
Chocolate
Strawberry
Cherry
Blueberry

I had the Derby and Chocolate pies first, I’d say they were alright 7/10. But then I got to the cherry and couldn’t take another bite. The filling was fine I guess but the crust didn’t taste great. It was very powdery and tasted incredibly sweet for some reason? The filling itself was nothing to write home about.

The guy at the counter was real nice, but I won’t be back. I’d rather get pies from one of the other chains (Tumble22 and Gus’s fried chicken are who I compared these pies to)
