We flew into Washington, DC and made the couple hour drive over to Thomas, WV, and the highlight of our entire trip ended up being Tip Top Coffee. What a great spot.
The coffee was excellent, the environment was warm and welcoming, and the pastries were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. It quickly became a place we looked forward to stopping during our stay.
We’ll be back in West Virginia this summer and are already looking forward to checking out their other location in Elkins.

My sister who has severe celiac is able to eat here. There are a bunch of baked goods options that are GF. They switch gloves and packaged the food separately.

One of the best Latte’s I’ve ever had. Great taste, very smooth. (16oz decaf Breve, 1 pump maple, 1 pump butterscotch).

Ever since going to tip top for the first time, I now compare every coffee shop to them—it’s quite unfair to every other coffeeshop around the country.
The staff is absolutely fantastic—they made me feel right at home when I needed it most.
The pastries are DIVINE!!!
And the drink selection is incredible.
I spent hours there multiple days in row reading and writing, the vibe was perfect.

Just an incredible coffee spot, we had to visit every day during our stay in Davis. Not only some of the best coffee drinks I’ve had anywhere, but also amazing baked goods (spinach feta was my favorite) that rival the best bakeries in big cities. Then, you get to the selection of foods they carry…you can tell how thoughtful the owners are, from the craft beer selection to the dried and canned goods. Super lucky to have TipTop part of the community in Thomas.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. Best place to come on a cold day and get some coffee and desserts. Huge selection of snacks, drinks, hot treats and refrigerated delights. has quaint room in the back to sit down and eat your food and tables outside. Aslo the bathroom has nice technology. Prices are great, location is big and roomy, and would come back over and over again. 10 out of 10 place
