When I finally placed my order, the interaction continued to feel cold and dismissive. There was no courtesy shown—no “hello,” no “thank you,” and no communication about how long my order would take. It felt very transactional and rushed, as if customer presence was an inconvenience rather than a priority.
What made the situation worse was witnessing the same behavior toward other customers. A Black couple walked in shortly after me and received the same treatment—no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no explanation about their order or wait time. Watching multiple customers be handled this way made it clear this wasn’t a one-off moment, but a pattern.
Customer service is a huge part of the dining experience, and I don’t understand why someone would work in a public-facing role if they’re unwilling or unable to communicate respectfully with people. The lack of basic manners and professionalism really took away from what could’ve been a good visit.
Because of how uncomfortable the interactions were, I asked the cashier if he was the manager. He said he wasn’t, which was honestly a relief, because behavior like that should not represent leadership. I also asked for his name, hoping this is something management takes seriously moving forward.
Food can be decent, but service like this leaves a lasting impression—and unfortunately, not a good one. This place really needs to work on customer service if they want people to return.
The lemonade is the best I have ever had… watch out state fair your days are numbered.
Spent about $40 for 20 chicken wings and fries, so it’s not too bad for how good it is, too!
