Our experience was unique. Being there in December, the crowds were nonexistent. Our waitress was great. They seated us at what we considered, one of the best tables in the restaurant. They exemplified real professionalism in all ways.

Happy Hour is a must do for the oyster lover. We enjoyed three dozen and wish we had ordered more. We shared the fish and chips entree as we were starting to feel full after all of the oysters. The panko crust was a refreshing alternative to a beer battered filet. It had just the right amount of spiciness and the texture was crunchy on the exterior, while tender and moist fish awaited your palette in the interior.

Dessert was a warm slice of toffee caramel cake topped with a generous scoop of cinnamon ice cream.

Exceptional experience in every way.

Beautiful cozy place. It’s a gem hidden attached to a hotel. They have $1.50 oysters during happy hour (4-6pm) everyday. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back again when I back in town.

Shuck is our most loved place to visit at summer and fall for 4 years, and so far so good!

The food is delicious, oysters always nice and fresh

We especially loved the cod, duck confit, and their seafood boil! I think they dishes are actually named differently, but that’s the best description my mind could have made

They also used to have duck wings as an appy, but it disappeared since last year, but I still hope they come back to their menu…

I put 4 stars for service, because some servers sometimes couldn’t answer our questions about certain dishes and messed up my allergy once, but overall it’s great

Overall my experience was good. I had the East coast boil and it was okay but nothing spectacular. I also had some oysters and they were great. The ambiance was fantastic and so was our service.

We loved our time at Shuck. We came specifically for Happy Hour as a family of 4 and ordered two dozen oysters and fries as a snack and the adults had two beers each. The oysters were incredible and large…often smaller oysters are served for “buck a shuck” It was our servers first night and he was fantastic!! The meals being served at the tables around us looked amazing and the one couple beside us indicated Shuck is a place they always return to when in Halifax, he had the seafood platter which was huge! Definitely recommend visiting at happy hour if you like oysters. Beers were also $2 off!

This was my second visit to Shuck’s and I have been thoroughly impressed. Excellent service, great food, and very friendly. Shoutout to Eugene (at the Oyster Bar) and our server (I don’t remember her name) for their exceptional hospitality!!

My first meal out after moving to Halifax today for grad school!

We ordered six of each of the two oyster specials today and they were so fresh and delicious. The accompaniments included a mignonette, hot sauce, and horse radish. Noting that we came for happy hour so they were $1.50 each!

The seafood chowder was to die for. So rich and incredibly creamy, has bits of lobster and clams and fish, absolutely scumptious.

The fish and chips were piping hot and fresh, and the tartar sauce was a great compliment!

The mussels were a tad disappointing as they were a bit small, but the thai green curry sauce it was stewed in was very delicious.

Overall, would definitely come back again, especially for that seafood chowder!

We got there early enough for oyster happy hour, fantastic! Delicious fresh oysters at a great price. The clam pasta and lobster cocktail were delicious as well! Our server was friendly, cheerful, attentive and knowledgeable of all items on the menu. To top it all off it’s a great ambiance. Highly recommend Shuck Seafood+ Raw Bar. If you love oysters you want to go here between 4-6pm, you won’t find oysters at that price anywhere else and they’re very tasty.

Visited Shuck while vacationing In Halifax with my family. The food was good certain items better than others however what Shuck really advertised which is Oysters from it’s Oyster bar is a knock out! The service was a bit slow but it was during a busier time. Overall kids were comfortable and ate well! Their shrimp pasta is absolutely amazing!

Sat on the patio for HH. Best buck-a-shuck deal around ($1.50 per oyster). The small oysters were delicious. Service was friendly but was lacking on the patio – I don’t know if it was super busy inside or understaffed, but our table waited long to order, long for drinks to arrive, long for main orders (barely was able to squeeze in another order before happy hour ended) and even had to flag someone else for cutlery. The fish and chips were tasty: excellent flavored batter; fries were not hot.
