Comfort food!!! I was excited to finally get in the door at Greenville Cafe, I had already previewed the menu and had high expectations, they were met. I was greeted with a warm smile and our server seated myself and my father right away. We ordered the disco fries as a starter and each ordered the meatloaf dinner and the special that day which was the roasted turkey dinner. Our dinners came with the option of a salad or soup, we ordered the salads and we were already digging in and demolished the disco fries so it was a nice beginning to our meal. By the time the entrees came out we were sure we wouldn’t finish our food, but managed to eat most of it anyways because they were the delicious! Everything came with a very hearty portion; the food was hot, flavorful and more on the home cooked style side which I personally appreciate! Nothing tasted frozen or bland, I had a second meals worth of leftovers to take home and had my drink refilled without having to ask. I used the restroom which was clean and well stocked and saw the owner walking around with a smile making sure everyone had what they needed and even spoke with a few patrons to ask them about their day. This is a cafe which seems to offer a home away from home experience and atmosphere. It was well lit and displayed local work from a talented artist and was more quiet than I was expected. I have zero complaints. Needless to say I now want to try the whole menu, 10/10 I will return here regularly. This place is now at the top of my list for a go-to in town. Thank you for a lovely experience!

I popped in for lunch and was taken to a table by a very nice young lady, she was smiling and very pleasant, the waiter took my order, he also was very pleasant, I ordered lobster bisque soup and a steak, the soup was disgusted but the steak was nice, this place could do very well if they smartened the place up, get proper uniforms for the staff, get rid of those overpriced ugly painting, a little bit of background music, fixed the leak in the toilet sink and replaced the paper towel, the staff were the only saving grace to my visit but they definitely should look more professional

Greenville Cafe route 32 Greenville N.Y. extremely disappointing ordered chicken orzo soup, very bland and soup arrived cold. Cheeseburger with bacon was bland,no flavor and tomato was mushy. Fried chicken was also very disappointing, extremely dry, overcooked and lacked seasoning. We spoke to waitress and she sent the cook out,I showed him the dried chicken and I explained they cannot serve food in this manner etc when customer choose to go out to eat, they expect excellence no matter what purchased and seasoning go a long way. This new establishment was a total miss.

Highly recommend casual dining and casual attire, great food nice wait staff friendly service, decently priced, at the time I was there they had a bar for alcohol, plenty of free parking handicap accessible, and an establishment that the actual owners will come out and visit the customers ask how everything is etc. in fact some of the food dinner specials are so big you’ll have to wind up taking it home for leftovers so in essence you’re sometimes getting two meals at a one, and I call that a win-win highly recommend. And anybody that knows me knows I love to eat, that I’m picky, And I don’t mind paying a couple extra dollars if the food is good, in this case the food is great

“Where small-town comfort food nearly hits the big city mark!”
Placed my order for pickup and right from the jump, I was met with refreshingly helpful service. The employee on the phone patiently answered all my questions (and there were many) without so much as a sigh or eye-roll I couldn’t see. He even gave me his personal recommendations, which I appreciated—this was no robotic order-taker, this was a man with culinary opinions.
Soup Starter Series: A Tale of Two Cups
Let’s begin with the chicken orzo soup—light, flavorful, and generously filled with tender chicken and just the right amount of orzo. It’s the kind of soup that makes you feel like you made a healthy decision without sacrificing taste.
Then came the lobster bisque… or what I like to call, “flour stew with a crustacean dream.” It was as thick as Thanksgiving gravy left on the stove too long. The flour flavor took center stage and refused to share the spotlight. I searched for lobster like it was a prize at the bottom of a cereal box, only to discover… imitation crabmeat. This is where a little heartbreak occurred. Greenville Café, if you’re listening, I would gladly pay extra for actual lobster. Also, a side of crackers or warm rolls would have made the soup course feel more like a meal and less like a missed opportunity.
Entrees That Redeemed the Day
The hot open roast beef sandwich was a solid win. A generous portion of tender beef piled high on thick bread, smothered in gravy that tasted homemade (or at least convincingly so). The mashed potatoes? Creamy, buttery, and seasoned like someone’s grandma was back there with a wooden spoon. The roasted summer squash stole the show—sweet, caramelized, and cooked just right. The accompanying house salad was fresh and crisp, proving someone in the kitchen still respects a good romaine leaf.
Now let’s talk cheesesteak—a behemoth of a sandwich loaded with savory sliced beef and peppers. Packed with flavor and enough to share (but you won’t want to). Next time I’ll ask for extra cheese just to really push it over the edge. Fries were golden, salty, crispy—exactly how fries should be, none of that limp and lifeless business.
Final Thoughts
Greenville Café is a charming, no-frills gem in the heart of town. If they ditch the flour-heavy bisque and sneak in some real seafood, we’re easily talking five stars. Until then, four strong stars and a promise: I’ll be back, probably with a soup spoon… just not for the bisque.

Eight of us got together to enjoy Sunday brunch, and I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness, service, and the fireplace.
I ordered my classic deluxe waffle with fruit and ice cream, and it was fresh and delicious.
I look forward to going back again.
I would recommend this place for large gatherings or an intimate cocktail.

This little gem was an amazing find. Very clean and so much character with all the original art pieces on the wall that are for sale. Loved that! We placed our order, and I said I’ll be able to judge just by the iced tea that I ordered if the food would be good. Well, I was not disappointed. The tea was bold and refreshing, not watered down at all. Then the food came from a server who was so friendly. The food did not disappoint either. Got my burger, which was done to perfection. That burger was stacked! The sauce on the side is delicious, especially with the onion rings. We will definitely be returning to this gem very soon because I just know that everything on the menu will be just as amazing.
