9/16/25- Im not sure why I have not seen this place sooner. I will definitely eat at this restaurant again. The food was fantastic. There were lots of options for my vegetarian and vegan tendencies. Our food server was polite, professional, and attentive. The restaurant was clean and well kept. I will repeat, the food was fantastic! Review the photos including receipts for price and meal selections.

I went here after my dentist appointment as it was super close.

I came in I ordered the assorted Thai appetizer. It took 45 minutes to get to me and the food was room temperature. The chicken was dry and tasted almost chemical-ly and oddly greasy for looking like it was grilled. The pot stickers, and egg rolls were ok. The mini rolls have either crab or imitation crab in them but it doesn’t mention that on the menu. The appetizer was mainly bland and greasy. The sauces were way too sweet. It was so sweet in fact that the cola I was drinking didn’t taste sweet anymore. I’d say the best thing was the wontons.

The main course was the ginger stir fry. I ordered it without onions and my proteins were half beef half tofu. It came with jasmine rice. The stir fry looks and tastes more like a stir steam. There is very little to no color on the food. Nothing looks fried. They warned me that the ginger stir fry was had a very strong ginger flavor. However, I hardly taste the ginger. There’s far more mixed veggies then there is protein. Maybe 3 or 4 small pieces of beef and 3 medium sized tofu.

All in all it took far to long to get my food and it didn’t taste very good. But the wait staff were amazing, and the cola tasted good. So there’s that.

Beware: the 4.4 rating is based on a bygone era of this restaurant. Another review used the word “diabolical” and I have to agree. I’ve never seen WHITE pad Thai before. The predominant flavor of the pad Thai was black pepper (not an ingredient of pad Thai), pad woon sen tasted like straight fish sauce. The vegetables were obviously from a frozen bag (why else would there be cauliflower…) and tasted rotten. The shrimp was rock hard. The half eaten plate before me is emanating a very unpleasant order. I’m barely even angry; my overwhelming emotion is bewilderment. My parents picked it up and waited at least 45 minutes. Go to pad Thai cafe, and if it’s Monday or Tuesday, just get something else.

Wow! This is such good Thai food! Great service from John too. This is honestly the best Thai food I’ve had in Albuquerque.

Also, seems like most of the reviews that aren’t positive are from delivery. I can say my shrimp Thai noodles were really good.

Visited here for the first time today. The food was just okay. The service was great and my server was very nice. After I ate and paid my bill, I went to the bathroom and saw mouse traps/mouse tape in the bathroom. I took a pic but I’ll refrain from posting it. The mouse traps were honestly a huge concern as far as cleanliness and mice running through the kitchen and food. I don’t think I’ll come back.

Very enjoyable lunch. Service quick and friendly. Seated right away on Friday at 1230 but given the relatively small size I imagine it could fill up. I had the eggplant stir fry with tofu and my wife yellow curry with tofu. Both really good and plenty of food. Price reasonable at $30 including two iced teas. Will come back.

Ordered seven items for take out. Took over two hours to get our food, almost an hour longer than we were told when we ordered. The wait staff was dismissive about the wait time saying the dining room had priority. We have ordered from here for years because the food is usually very good, but this is the last time we will order from here. There are other thai places with just as good food and much better service.

We came on Sunday around 2 PM, it was very busy however the servers gave really nice service. I thought the food were a little expensive than other Thai restaurants in town but when we got our food, portions are big. Both of us had half of our food left over. Will definitely come by, but order one dish for both of us.

A group of three of us met at Thai Tip at 5:30pm on a weekday for dinner. It was the first time for all of us.

Their fried rice selection is very large – there are seven different fried rice options to choose from!

I chose the eggplant curry (khang kheaw whan nua) which I haven’t seen on many Thai menus. It came with a choice of protein, green curry, eggplant, coconut milk, and is topped with bell peppers. I ordered mine mild with tofu as the protein.

The curry was delicious! The tofu came fried in the dish. It had a hint of heat that complimented the flavor. My only critique would be that I wished I had more rice.

My husband got the Thai Tip Famous Teriyaki Fried Rice, which is also something I haven’t seen on other Thai menus (teriyaki fried rice). The rice consisted of a choice of protein, egg, bacon, bacon grease, onions, peas, carrots, and teriyaki sauce. It was flavorful, and interesting, as Thai cuisine doesn’t usually use bacon. I’m not sure I’d get it again if it was an option between that and, say, a staple like pineapple fried rice.

The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has both booths and open seating. Customers using wheelchairs and large bodied customers will not have an issue at this place as there are no steps and the chairs are a sturdy metal with no sides/arm rests.

**UPDATE **

What a disappointing experience. This was our second visit here. Our last time was over a half year ago, and either they’ve gotten a new chef overall or they had a new chef for this evening.

We came in on a Wednesday evening at 4:30pm, so there wasn’t a dinner rush. There were two servers and at least one cook, yet the wait was very, very long for the food. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, so why there was such a delay was confusing.

I had the pineapple fried rice with tofu, medium spice. I ordered cilantro to be added, but they forgot it. The entree came out hot instead of medium, and for some reason tasted incredibly metallic. I’m not sure what caused it, but it was not appetizing in any way.

The service was slow and non-attentive, which again was odd given there were two servers and just two two-tops (so four patrons overall).

Previously I had given Thai Tip a 4/5, but this time my dining companion and I agreed on a 2/5. I think that’s generous given the food was unappetizing, the wait time slow, and the service inattentive. It’s too bad their chef changed over or the quality has declined in the past half year. We won’t return.

Sooo we really loved Thai tip a few years back. Absolutely they have the best Tom Kha. Unfortunately in the last year the service, and time management has gone to complete crap, which is such a bummer for it being such a good place. I honestly have zero clue what’s going on with the kitchen staff, half the time it’s taking them hours to get food out. tonight we called in an order, for a soup mind you and the wait was 45 minutes, fine that’s honestly what we expected. it’s been 45 minutes and we go in, the lobby is empty & we are told verbatim “I’m gonna be real with you it’s not going to be ready for another 45 minutes, we haven’t even started it” if you are getting hung up on orders than maybe you need a larger kitchen staff, maybe you need to stop taking to go orders. ended up canceling and eating hot pot instead. miss the good ol days of Thai tip, I fear those are long gone. 🙁
