Went here for breakfast and ordered the shrimp and gritts and it’s out of this world. Swing by and try it if you are in the area.

Service is always good as is the food. The omelette and hash browns are seriously good. Best breakfast you’ll find.

Classic little restaurant but unfortunately our personal experience was more basic and not as good as the other reviews go.
For a Saturday morning breakfast, the queue was pretty long to get inside here.
We ordered pancakes, omelette with hash brown.
There was also toppings available in the menu for pancakes. But sadly they don’t serve fresh fruits as toppings and we had to skip through that. We asked for whipping cream on top of pancake instead.
This place gets pretty crowded and so we had to wait for a long time before our food was served.
They messed the order and got me a single waffle instead, with nothing on top. When checked upon since making 3 pancake stacking would mean to wait even longer, I was famished and ate what was served. Also we had to explicitly remind them to get some maple syrup or whipping cream to go along with the waffle. ☹️
Omelette however was loaded with veggies and was a better choice.
They did give us a waive off of 10% for the mixed order item, which amounted to $1 off.
Guess that counts for the inconvenience charge.

It looks affordable when you read the menu, then when you get to the register she charges you whatever she feels. I think I spent $26 on steak and eggs with two extra eggs. The hash browns are soaked in a thin oil or grease. This place used to be good. I don’t know what happened

We came in Monday to have a final meal before parting ways after spending the weekend camping on the beach. There were 5 of us, we live in 5 different states, it was the first time we had all been together and it was the last time we’d all be together for a while. To say we were loud and obnoxious is an understatement. But the waitresses were kind, and the food was incredible, and it was the perfect place to eat together before going home. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, we’ve been talking about it every day since, and we’ll definitely be back!

Found this great place to eat on our recent trip to Beaufort NC. It’s a small, cozy brick building at a little intersection. You may have a hard time finding a parking spot but it’s well worth the wait. Service is great, staff is very friendly and accommodating, has a back in time feel, good selection of food. I have to say that I have had Shrimp n Grits many times bf but NEVER AS GOOD as this little restaurant serves. We made two trips for breakfast bc it was sooo good. I would go out of my way to eat there again!!

Our first time in Beaufort and I’m so glad we chose this place for breakfast. Everyone was very nice, the food was delicious especially the hashbrowns that I added cheese and onions to where they were not stingy with any of it, it was perfect! My husband got the pancakes and he said they were also perfect. Highly recommend for some good southern breakfast and hospital.

The Beaufort Cafe is the local mom and pop’s breakfast diner of Beaufort, NC. They serve a made from scratch breakfast at a fair price in a timely manner. The food is delicious, the service is great. The pancakes, French toast, and grits are all excellent. The sausage is delicious, but on the spicy side. For a local specialty, try their shrimp and grits. You won’t be disappointed.
