We started by going into the dining area, and it was extremely dirty — food on the floor, messy and sticky tables, smudges everywhere. My shoes were literally sticking to the floor. I understand that most people order takeout, but that’s no excuse for such a filthy environment. It was so unpleasant that we decided to order to-go instead of eating there.
Unfortunately, the food was also a huge letdown. We usually trust Chipotle — it’s our go-to place for something quick and tasty, especially with kids. But this time, the chicken was unbearably spicy. My stomach hurt from just a few bites, and our child couldn’t eat it either. My husband and I ordered the non-honey chicken, and it was so spicy it was inedible.
One of our sons ordered three tacos, and they came with barely any meat, just a few tiny shreds. Our other son had the honey chicken tacos, and even those were way too spicy to enjoy.
So between the filthy dining room and unreasonably spicy food, this was by far our worst experience with Chipotle. I truly hope management takes feedback like this seriously. We usually love Chipotle, but we won’t be returning to this location.
I went to this Chipotle during their pre-Thanksgiving “Buy One Get One” deal. I expected a crowd, and yes, the line was long—totally fine. But the staff felt very inexperienced, and most importantly, they just weren’t listening.
I had to repeat almost every part of my order, and even then it felt like it wasn’t registering. I also had a free guac reward. At checkout, I asked if I could use it. They told me I couldn’t because I was already using the BOGO deal. Okay, that’s fine.
So I explained, very clearly:
“Alright, then let me pay for the BOGO order first. After that, I’ll do a second, separate order for the free guac.”
That’s literally how two different promotions are supposed to work.
But they kept repeating the same thing:
“If you add guac, the BOGO disappears.”
They completely ignored the part where I said it would be a separate order. I wasn’t asking to add guac to the BOGO order. I kept explaining it, and they kept giving me the same answer like they weren’t even processing what I said. The tone and little smirks while saying it made it worse.
Then the sides…
I ordered two bowls, and I asked for corn and sour cream on the side for each bowl. So that should be two corn cups, two sour cream cups. They only gave me one of each. When I asked where the other two were, they said, “You asked for one.”
If I wanted it inside the bowl, they would have put it inside—not handed me one cup and assumed I meant it for both bowls. It made absolutely no sense.
Overall, it felt like I was talking and they just weren’t hearing anything. I’m writing this because customers shouldn’t have to argue or repeat basic instructions. I wasn’t asking for anything complicated. I was just asking them to listen, and the entire experience ended up feeling rude and dismissive for no reason.
I genuinely hope the management reads this and helps the team improve, because something that should have taken a few minutes ended up being unnecessarily stressful.
Never have issues with the staff, but there is good chance the food quality misses. I would just avoid the guac of you go here. Otherwise it’s like most Chipotles.
The staff is usually friendly and often very helpful.
The dining area was also not tidy. I didn’t mind cleaning my own table off since I know staffing issues continue to be a problem everywhere, but it wasn’t terribly appetizing. The only reason I gave them two stars was because the staff was very friendly and offered new chips when I complained (they were just as bad though)
I eat a lot of chipotles, and generally love the quality and quantity of food. It’s one of the best options for fast vegetarian meals when in the suburbs, but this one was pitiful.
I have spent enough money at time at this location and have noticed a trend in the past year that the service is getting worse & the amount of food that is given is becoming less. When you ask for “little more meat” other then the 1/4 spoon full they are reluctant to give you come attitude with it. At least give equal amounts to the rice and beans you provide.
Time to change locations.. Hopefully others are not as bad.
