We found a hidden gem just outside of myrtle beach!! This place was a small mom and pop restaurant and we didn’t really know what to expect. The food was absolutely amazing! The burgers were made from fresh beef. The fried mushrooms were hot and delicious, the chicken wings were piping hot, and perfectly seasoned! If you’re in the area and looking for great food with a small, calm atmosphere, this is the place! During our entire visit to myrtle beach, and all the places and food we ate, this was BY FAR the best meal we had this week! Also, how cool that the food was served up in dog bowls! That just added to the vibe of this place! So so glad we decided to stop on our way past!

Great place with delicious fresh cut fries, quality burgers, chicken tenders and grilled chicken combined with personable customer service. The owners are considerate. We talked to the guy who owns it for a long time. Really nice and interesting man from Upstate New York. Prices are reasonable for the area considering that we are in a tourist town. I’m local and a little south of Joey Diggs because I live in Surfside so I will make this a regular stop. Having black bean burgers on the menu is a plus for those who can’t do much red meat anymore for health reasons. My husband loved the black bean burger. He will order it again. The portion of grilled chicken on my sandwich was good. This is important to me now that I am on a limited diet.

We came here for lunch after looking up places to eat on Google. It’s hard to see from the road, we actually passed it and had to turn around. Plenty of parking in the lot. Seating outside and inside. There’s also a few arcade games for kids or adults to play as you wait for your order. It’s got the feel of a diner on the beach. There was only 2 employees who I believe were also the owners. Great service and hospitality. This place is unassuming, You don’t expect the food to taste as great as it does.
All the food is cooked fresh. You can taste the quality of the food that is used. The food is served in dog bowls. It’s gimmicky, so some people might be turned off or find it unsanitary. They line the bowls with wax paper and I would think have not been eaten out of by dogs. I can’t believe I actually had to say it, but after reading some of the reviews I think it was necessary.
The food was fantastic. We got the garlic parmesan wings to start. The sauce was flavorful and the wings were drowned in it. Not as much meat as I would like on the wing, but still delicious. I dipped my fries in the leftover sauce. It added to the great taste of the fries which are hand cut and seasoned nicely. I got the double cheeseburger. I added jalapeños, spicy mustard, ketchup, and mayo from the free condiment list. If you have never tried it like this, I highly suggest it. It may sound like too much on the burger, but you will not be disappointed. The burger was fresh and cook exactly how I asked. Just the right amount of condiments and jalapeños were on the burger. I will definitely be returning to try one of the hotdogs they have on the menu. Great experience and looking forward to coming back.

This place is a hidden gem in Surfside. If you want the best Hotdogs around, this is the place. Now let talk fries hand cut and fried to perfection. I bet you can’t just eat one. Let’s just say the wife didn’t want fries but ate all of mine. Do yourself a favor and give them a try you will love them. Oh, and the food is served in a dog bowl. How cool.

What a fun place, with great food. Everything we had was awesome. Vegetarian options available. We will definitely return. This locally owned business has what it takes to become a legend.

Joey Doggs is amazing! We tried the Bacon Cheeseburger, the Chicago Dog, and the Joey Dog (chili dog). All three were so good. We also ordered a burger with no seasoning for our dog, and they cut it up for us! Staff is super friendly. Will definitely come back!

Very pleasant mom and pop type diner. The coney dogs were not as good as others I’ve had in the past. Also tried their homemade sloppy joe, which had relish in it, a bit unusual for my taste.

First off, I want to applaud the commitment to theme – lunch is served in dog bowls. The hot dogs are solid, but the fries and onion rings are the best food I’ve had on this vacation. The last photo of the empty bowl? All the grease left after eating an entire bowl of onion rings. Perfectly breaded, perfectly cooked. So good we got more.
And they have cheerwine!

We love Joey Doggs! We stumbled upon this gem several years ago. It has a classic mom & pop feel. The couple that runs it are really great folks! They make your food to order. It’s gonna be hot and fresh! Great burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings, and wings! We usually eat there AND take something to-go for later! Your order is served in a doggy bowl if you eat in. That’s a fun touch! A great family eatery!
They close early so be sure to check the hours so you don’t miss them!

I had a Joey Dogg and a double cheeseburger. The dog was great, but the burger was perfect! Very nice folks in there too.
