Longtime, family-owned tavern offering country-style American meals in an old-fashioned dining room.

First time we’ve eaten here. Great friendly service, nice atmosphere, unique food. The egg/sausage came with mild honey mustard and was very good. The mushroom pizza was a touch heavy on garlic, but easy to take off. Crust was very good. Sweet tea was quite tasty. Definitely would return again. Only negative was no hot chocolate on a cold day, and limited coke products (Pepsi fan). Could have enjoyed a root beer of some kind with the pizza.

Absolutely incredible! We sat at the bar and Augustine and Skyler were the bartenders and they made sure we had a fantastic night, even with it being swamped due to Valentine’s Day. The food was to die for and the drinks were some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had! We will definitely be back, hopefully for one of the cocktail classes!

Great spot right on the square! The atmosphere is welcoming and the food was solid. Service was friendly and attentive. A nice place to grab a meal or drinks with friends. Would definitely come back.

What a vibe? We parked in the back and entered via the rear entrance. Pretty cool that there was an elevator in this old building. The hostess was super pleasant and welcoming. Great vibes all around from the atomosphere, the energy coming from the kitchen and the bar. We requested to sit outside and it couldn’t have been more perfect for this time of the year. Our server Anna was fantastic and was spot on with all of her recommendations. The Pomegranite Paloma was perfect. They were out of the Brie, so we went with the Pickled Fried Green Tomatoes, fire. I don’t even like tomatoes like that. Was gonna order the BLT, but Anna recommended the Nancy. Glad I listened. “Amish Chicken”…..cage free, no hormones. The good stuff. The crisp, perfectly cooked. Do garlic parm on the fries too. Thanks for that tip, Anna. The best part of our meal wasn’t the food or the atmosphere. It was watching the staff try to accommodate a family that was trying to stick out some confused bees that kept harrasing their kid. The staff went over and beyond for this family before they moved them to a table inside, per their request. Kuddos guys. All the love. Can’t wait to come back. Grateful this place is in our backyard.

The food was excellent. Had the red pepper soup which was absolutely amazing. I had the Wood fired mushroom pizza and my husband had the Reuben special. Did not disappoint and I would highly recommend.

The organic chicken was wonderful. The grass fed hamburger was atrocious-it smelled and tasted spoiled. I have had grass fed beef before but not like this. The smell would make you gag the taste made me gag. The manager tried his best to be gracious, but could not understand. The salad was whole, lettuce hearts and everything else on the side. I had to make my own salad, chop it up before I could even eat. The chicken was amazing. The tavern is just not for me. I like more farm to table without all the frills.

What an all around terrific restaurant! I think this restaurant checks all of the boxes. High end without being stuffy and ostentatious, unique food choices, table service was second to none, and food was 5 star. A bit pricey, but worth every penny! Indoor and outdoor patio seating in the heart of Amish Country. Beautifully renovated and under new ownership they have made this a destination worth stopping at! Can’t wait to go back.

Fantastic each time so far! We’ve eaten here a few times and we’ve really enjoyed it. We’ve sat at the bar, in the booths on the first floor, and upstairs and we’ve enjoyed the atmosphere in each spot.
Food has been really really good. It is priced absolutely correct for what you are getting, the prep, the quality, etc. Tried the sticky ribs, the Cuban (gigantic and delicious), scotch egg( maybe a favorite!?), crispy skin salmon, and crab cakes. The grilled Caesar is great. And we’ve also tried the sticky skillet which is awesome. Reminds me of a cinnamon roll from the fair. Also have had the fresh cobbler with ice cream-yum!
Drinks have been great too! Tried the cucumber st German spritz, lemon verbena gin gimlet, and the julep. Love that it’s all garnished or infused with fresh herbs grown locally or on premise.
I had never been to the old tavern to compare, but the new tavern is amazing…compared to anything else or not. Hopefully people judge this place for what it is…not what used to be here. The food and service are great as is the ambiance. And the prices are fair. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into everything. I really really like it!! Sorry about the pics… forgot to take them at the beginning and things may have a bite/sip missing!
9/22/24- Dined at Tavern again this time for Sunday brunch/lunch. The 3 of us got different burgers- all were delicious- they were prepared medium-so juicy and flavorful!

Growing up going to The Tavern, I was excited to check it out with my husband for a date night and we were blown away! Makenzie, our waitress, was so welcoming and everything she recommended was absolutely amazing! We even got some Tavern Sticky Buns to go! We highly recommend everyone to check it out, I promise it will blow you away.

Our party of 4 recently dined at the Tavern on a weekend for dinner, and we were thankful we made reservations because business was bustling! Everything looked beautiful, both inside and outside, and we all had a hard time choosing an entree since there were a lot of enticing selections to choose from. Although we all selected menu items, our waitress relayed a few specials that were being offered that evening, which were: a loaded mashed potato soup, another pizza offering, and a ribeye steak. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal and remarked how flavorful it was. We are also very appreciative that the Tavern is a “Farm to Table” establishment. Can’t wait to return and try other options!
