Equal Parts brings a great contemporary menu to the North Beach neighborhood. The laid back and Tulum-esque ambiance feels like a mini escape from the concrete Jungle. The long entrance and choice interior design really helps transport you. Their cocktails are well curated and have a taste for everyone. The vibes continue onto the menu with the tapas style bites and most are delectable. I must say their fried chicken was a surprise and some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly crisp, well seasoned and still moist. A fantastic spot for before dinner drinks, after dinner drinks, a relaxed dinner with friends, or a chill date. I definitely recommend a quick teleportation to Equal Parts

New cocktail bar/restaurant in North Beach that gives Mexico City and Tulum vibes. When you enter in it already feels like you’re in another country or area and not in SF. Parking can be difficult out there so I’d recommend ride share or parking at a parking garage somewhere else and walking. Reservations can be made on open table or you can come in to sit at the bar. Seems like a place I would want to go eventually for my night cap with the drinks and the ambiance and even the music they have in the background.

As for the food and drinks. Everyone said their Pull My Daisy (Gin), On the Road (Bourbon), and Coco & Marco (pistachio tequila and matcha) which was my fav are all pretty popular! They tasted soo good some on the sweeter side but all crafted very well.

As for food, I had some friends come with larger groups and everyone recommends the branzino and lamb ribs. I just came with one other friend and we didn’t think we would be able to eat that much. So we actually started with the Green Cioppino which we REALLY liked. It was the perfect tanginess and the amount of seafood and the toast that went with it, I usually don’t go for Cioppino but I highly recommend this one! We then got the tempura mushrooms and fries to nibble on while drinking. For dessert we got their vanilla panna cotta that had mango and passion fruit puree. All lovely items, I can’t wait to go back to try their branzino and lamb ribs.

The staff are all super friendly and kind. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic beverage program, but the food was a miss.

Cocktails (5/5): We tried the Ta Ta Tini (bright tomato riff on a classic martini), Pull My Daisy (smoky & delicious from the grilled pineapple and chili), What Da Fig (unique melon notes) and Al Papaya (mix of saline from the foam + freshness from the papaya was ). Some of the most delicious cocktails I’ve had in the city. I will be coming back for these alone!

Food (1/5): The mushroom tempura was quite good, but it was downhill from there. The delicate & kabocha squash dish was not balanced and came cold — the celery + onion puree with the pomegranate vinegar smelt spoiled, making it impossible to eat. I think it’s the sulphuric compounds in the celery + onion reacting with the vinegar. Alternatively, maybe it sat out for too long and de facto fermented. Lastly, the fried chicken was extremely dry and lacked flavor. I know they’ve just opened so I would probably give the food another go in a few months.

Vibes (5/5): Beautiful restaurant, ambience was great.

Service (3/5): We had 3 different waiters serve us, I think based on capacity? I didn’t love that since they kept asking what course we were on, if we wanted drinks when we’d just ordered drinks, etc. It is a much more cohesive dining experience when you have a dedicated waiter IMO, but this is likely just the process of opening. Our primary waitress asked us to give feedback a few times at the start while ordering but then never came back around to ask for that feedback (hence the review!) because I do think this restaurant has the potential to be incredible.

A solid 4! Great for drinks and tapas, as meals are in small portions. The Octopus and Beef Carpaccio are a must. The rest of our orders felt a little too greasy, including Bone Marrow and Fried Mushrooms. The service got a little bit long since the place got really full by the evening so we ended up waiting for maybe 20 mins just for the check, but food came out so quickly and the waitresses were the nicest.

We finally made it here, and it exceeded every expectation. From the ambiance to the food, drinks, and service, everything was an 11/10. Already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu.

I read about this new North Beach restaurant and wanted to check it out. Dining alone so thought I could walk in anytime and get a seat at the bar. Didn’t work out early Thursday night as the bar and dining room was packed. Tried again late Sunday and found a seat. Started with a half dozen oysters. Intrigued by the green tomatillo based cioppino, as they are competing with Soto Mare’s “SF Best” cioppino one block away. Verdict: An excellent dish, lots of shellfish, but not as bold (more refined?) spice/flavor. IMHO suffers in comparison with the absence of crab & lobster available at their competitor. Also a smaller portion but, whether that’s a problem, depends on how hungry you are. Still tasted great. OTOH, You can get a real drink at Equal Parts, while Soto Mare is wine and beer only. So there’s that. Next time I’ll try the octopus or branzino. And there will be a next time. Recommended.

Top rating for this very vibey and professionally run restaurant near the corner of Grant and Green in the heart of NB. They’ve done a great job with the interior design and have crafted a very interesting menu, including some innovative cocktails. They’ve got great music playing and you feel like you’re in a lounging sort of nightclub. The pork shank was amazing. The green cioppino was yummy. .

This place has such cool, almost speakeasy vibes — you’d never expect something like this to be tucked away in North Beach. The space is insanely well done: bohemian, chic, elevated, but still warm and inviting. I’m fully an ambiance snob and this place checked all my boxes. The seating, the lighting, the overall design… such a vibe.

Came for the decor but the food totally delivered too. Everything was top notch, especially the octopus — don’t skip it. Drinks were unreal. Like honestly, even if you’re just out in North Beach and want one really good cocktail, this is the move. It has a cool nightlife energy but still works perfectly for a chill date night.

It feels exclusive in a good way, like a destination spot hidden in the middle of the neighborhood. There’s really nothing else like it around here. I’m already planning future date nights and I can’t wait for brunch — looks like they’ve got an outdoor space that’s going to be amazing. Definitely a new favorite.

I lived in North Beach for three years and remember what this space was like before. They have clearly made a huge investment in a structural renovation that left the space looking beautiful. However, the main issue is that the food is average to low quality compared to the rest of the city. While I would return to sit at the bar for a drink, I wouldn’t order food here again. The dishes lack seasoning and flavor; the beautiful entrance creates an expectation that the food simply doesn’t meet. Rethinking the chef or the menu would be a good alternative. I tried four items and two desserts, but unfortunately, none of them caught my attention. The impressive investment in the building just doesn’t match the level of the food
