We were greeted well, sat promptly.
Our server was spot on. She greated us well, had the menu and specials ready and answered all our questions.
Food arrived quickly and was beyond flavorful. The pricing was high but as expected. However, you are getting your money’s worth with the experience and food.
Do yourself a favor and get the dessert. You will be completing your meal the right way.
We are glad we chose this spot.
Note: The bar is front building, restaurant is the back building from the parking lot.
What threw me.. our waitress was beyond lackadaisical. Refilled beverages once, spent ~20min chatting with another table (to a point of trying to retrieve a to go box on our own) then the woman hovered over me during checkout trying to observe the tip.
All in all, decent taste for the price but absolutely getting what you pay for in the wait staff.
Walking up to the barn themed restaurant that sits quaintly amongst a couple other buildings, next to a pasture with longhorns gives you a sense of excitement about what awaits inside. As you enter, you’re greeted by really friendly staff and led into a beautifully western decorated dining area.
Jason, our server, was the absolute best. Not only did he provide friendly and professional service he also gave personal suggestions on the menu and points of interest around town. He genuinely seemed happy being a part of the restaurant and he definitely represents it well.
We started off with the Chicken Poppers and they were amazing. For the main I had the Ribeye while my daughter had the filet and my son with the New York strip. The sides are family style and we had the broccolini (Jason’s suggestion) asparagus and poblano Mac and cheese. Great portions, fresh and were so amazing. The steaks were all perfectly cooked mid rare, seasoned and looked just as great. Dinner was finished off with the raspberry cheesecake.
The gentleman that was running the place this evening, (I felt bad about not remembering his name) but was said to be the owners son, was very friendly and welcoming. If I could give this more stars then I would.
We came for a great meal and left with even greater memories.
We got the ribeye and the mushroom pasta, staff was very knowledgeable and the owner stopped by for a second. Would totally recommend coming by if you’re in the area.
(Dip the steak in the Alfredo sauce, she’s insisting I add this in the review)
My group of wine industry guests always enjoy our time here. We do miss the old menu options where our $50-$60 entrees included a choice side as was the case when this place first opened rather than paying $12 per side in addition to an already expensive entree. Quality is superb! I don’t mind paying good $ for a quality meal… but I feel remiss not mentioning it would be nice to include one side for that price point.
In the future, this will probably be a special occasion place for us as the price has drastically increased since our first visit.
