Stopped at Fay Eddie’s for lunch on the way to the beach area. Quickly found out it’s the place to go because the line started forming as soon as we got there. Ordered chicken strips and a burger. The food is made fresh to order. It was delicious. Lots of outdoor seating including covered seating
We stopped back again after the lake to get ice cream and it was still busy. The ice cream was good. Would definitely visit Fat Eddie’s again if we are in the area!

Simply a must stop. Absolutely the best hamburgers in the world. Plenty to choose from all kinds of food. It’s a quick stop right off of Highway 129 near Summersville dam. Very close to US 19. If you’re boating the Gauley, River or Summersville lake, you must stop here, you will not be disappointed. All food is made to order so takes a little bit longer but certainly worth the wait. Grab a shake while you wait and enjoy. Plenty of room for outdoor seating.

Fat Eddie’s is a must-stop for anyone with a sweet tooth! I had the Banana Split Storm, and it was absolutely delicious—creamy, perfectly blended, and loaded with all the classic flavors of a banana split. The texture was spot on, and the portion size was just right. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere made it a great place to enjoy a treat. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Fat Eddie’s is a dining icon in the Summersville area and one you won’t want to miss. They have a nice selection of menu items suitable for the entire family. I love the WV Burger. It’s everything it should be with lots of chili and cole slaw, messy, and so delicious. The Great Dane Storm is my favorite ice cream blend with bits of Reeces and bananas in a vanilla ice cream base. So yummy! Also, our group all agreed that they have the best fried pickles we have ever eaten and we have eaten a lot. Pure perfection in every crisp bite.

Not having much luck here. Got large banana split & only had icecream on ends, the middle had no icecream. Tried again, ordered 1 scoop pumpkin & 1 scoop Oreo in waffle cone. Got a pumpkin in waffle cone & Oreo in waffle cone. They corrected mistake & was getting me refund. I waited 25 minutes but no one ever brought refund to me. Cashier kept waiting on new customers without rectifying error on my order. There was a very long line so we gave up & left. Ice cream did taste great but we were paying way more than what we were receiving each time. Be great place if orders came out right. It’s the closest place to where we are so did go once more, order was correct but I went over the top of giving it to make sure it was clear, before being waited on I stood at window 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order. Three/each visit having an issue was enough for us.

Food options are okay but let’s be real you come here for the ice-cream which is delicious. Truly enjoyed both the storm and shakes. Do try the ‘German Chocolate’ flavor if you’re a chocolate lover. Can get a little busy over the weekend so be prepared to wait in a queue. They do have decent parking space so if you’re unable to find a spot indoors, you can always enjoy that swirl in your car.
